Hey Wattpad!!
So, three uploads in a week... It's awesome!!! So is all the feedback I'm getting from everyone. I love it!!!!:D
I wanted to upload this now, because the next chapter will take some time to completely edit. See, I've had the next chapter pretty much written since I started this story. The next one is probably my favorite, but I know everyone will get SUPER pissed at me for it, so I'm hoping the fact that I uploaded quickly will override the hate?:)
Anyway, here's the chapter! A couple of things happening, hope you like it!:)
And thanks to @Bubbles_Too_Cool and @xxxlovexxxbabe for the Valentine's Day suggestions!:)
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Cam and I fell asleep soon after and only left his house because there was one thing we had left to do before the New Year was all good; Cam had to meet my dad.
We walked around all the dropped red cups, said a quick and quiet goodbye to Emma, then left.
We decided that I’d drive us both to my house, and then I’d drive Cam back to his so I could help with the cleanup.
“Now don’t forget, as far as my dad knows we’ve been dating for probably around 9 months.” I said again, driving as close to the speed limit as possible. I’d never had to bring anyone to meet my dad, and I couldn’t be more nervous.
“I know. And he thinks the first time we ever slept together was last night.” Cam took my free hand, giving it a gently squeeze. “Why are you so nervous? My mom was fine with you.”
I laughed humorlessly. “Cam, my dad’s nothing like your mom. He doesn’t trust anyone. Hell, he barely trusts me! I think he trusts his girlfriend, but he’s always on his guard. It’s going to take so freaking much to get him to like you, and I don’t think you’ll get off easy.”
Cam was quiet for a minute as I drove the longest route I could think of. The longer I could post-pone this, the better.
“Babe, relax. Please? If he doesn’t like me, are you going to break up with me?” He asked.
I shook my head. Why the hell would I do that? He was making me believe I could last more than six months without another freak out. “No, I won’t.” I said.
“Not even if he orders you to?” Cam insisted.
“Cameron, I won’t break up with you if my dad doesn’t like you.”
He nodded. “Exactly. So what does it matter what he thinks?”
I bit my lip, nervously. “Because, Cam, if he really, really doesn’t like you, he could send me to live with my mom and her boyfriend.” I said.
“Well, then I’d visit you anyway.”
I rolled my eyes. “Cam, she lives in Michigan.”
Cam’s hand tightened a little on mine. “Oh.”
Finally the boy was getting it. Thank God. “Now do you see? You have to at least make him like you enough to allow us to happen. Please just behave around him? That means no kissing, hand holding is ok, but just that, ok?” I said.
I saw him nod out of the corner of my eye. “I got it.” He didn’t let go of my hand as we pulled into my street. “This isn’t going to be easy, is it?” He asked.
I shook my head, parking in my driveway. “No, it isn’t. Please, please, please pass this test, Cam.” I said, looking him in the eyes. “I’m just starting to actually like this whole relationship, so you cannot screw it up now.” I said, hoping he’d hear the complete desperation in my voice. I was not ready for this to be over. There was so much I had left to learn about him, and I somehow knew he was just as curious about me.
