The sun filters through the elegant red curtains, causing a pink light to fall on the white carpet. A breeze flutters through the still-open window, gently brushing the curtains and moving the image on the floor in a kaleidoscope of lights.
It's this sight that Daisy first sees when she opens her eyes. It takes a moment for her eyes to adjust to the difference in light, lids twitching irritably as she reaches up a pale hand to rub at them. Soon after that, she has to force herself to remember how she came to be in this room. A blush graces her cheeks as she recalls that a man calling himself her daddy had plucked her from the streets like a white knight with a handsome smile.
He was so sweet and charming, speaking with a kind of care that she'd never seen before. It seemed like each word was painstakingly chosen before it fell from his pink lips. Though, Daisy has to admit, it does seem rather fishy that he would just do that for me. No one is that nice for no reason in this town.
Clearly he finds her attractive, if last night's events are anything to go by. But, then again, he also made it clear that he didn't think she was a girl that could be bought. Maybe he thinks of me as a conquest?
It certainly wouldn't be unheard of for that to be the case. But if sex was his motive, why didn't he try putting the moves on her last night? And why the whole 'Daddy' thing?
The door creaking open interrupts Daisy's pondering, halting her mid-thought. A fiery red head pops through the doorway, a friendly grin adorning Jerome's handsome visage.
"Good morning, baby girl. Did you sleep well?" He asks her as she slowly sits up in the bed, the sheets falling to her waist.
Daisy nods brightly, feeling rejuvenated by the night's rest. In the new morning light, she takes the time to examine further her rescuer's form.
The man standing in the doorway is tall and lean, muscles defined but not bulging like that of a roid head. His posture is confidently casual, like he hasn't a care in the world because he knows he can handle every possible situation with ease. His smile is simmering now, but a wild fire still lingers in his eyes, entrancing Daisy like a moth to their flames.
"I know I said that you could look at your daddy, Flower, but I didn't think you'd take advantage of it nearly this much," Jerome teases, chuckling when the girl blushes. He flexes his biceps just to mess with her and is amused when she flushes darker and hides her cheeks with her hands. "Oh, come on now, Rapunzel, don't go hiding that beautiful face. Daddy's just teasing."
Slowly, Daisy lowers her hands and puts them back in her lap, fingers nervously intertwining and fiddling with each other. Daddy just has such a way with words...
It takes a second this time before she realizes that she called the man 'Daddy' in her head. This time, she isn't totally disgusted by it.
"So, I have to go out here and have a conference here in a bit. Can I trust you to stay here by yourself and keep quiet while I'm working? I'll bring you back some breakfast after," Jerome coaxes. The keeping quiet she shouldn't have any trouble with, at least.
Daisy nods slowly in answer, contemplating. Why did you bring me here?
"I think there are a couple of magazines in the bedside table if you get bored. If you're a good girl, Daddy may even give you a treat," Jerome winks, voice syrupy sweet. "Don't be alarmed, but I'm going to lock you in. Some real weirdos come through this building, and Daddy doesn't want you to get hurt, okay?"
The girl nods again but can't help but wonder, Who would come in here and mess with me?
"This shouldn't take more than an hour, but in case it does, there's a bathroom just through that door," he continues, pointing to the other white door in the room. "Alright, I've got to go now. Bye, Rapunzel! Be a good girl!"
