As the person descended farther I got up and stared as the person reached the bottom and turned to look at me. The first thing I felt was fear, an overwhelming fear that shook me to. the. bone.
This man was clean, covered in fabric, and totally new to me. I had no idea what was going on. I slowly backed up my feet until they touched the wall. Me and the man stared at each other, I didn't know what to do or expect.
Jakeob P.O.V:
As I descended the stairs my mind was a hurricane, never settling on one thought. I didn't know what to make of this newfound discovery. A demon! an abomination of nature that they gave birth to! I didn't know what to expect, a bleeding monster with wings? Fangs and clawed hands and feet? multiple eyes? My mind was running laps around the place.
My feet hit the floor, I took a deep breath in and turned to face 'it'.
... What I didn't expect, was the beautiful lady standing before me. Her black long silky hair reached her knees, her skin was like pure moonlight, she didn't have claws or a beak or some other deformity. Her lips where the color of ripe raspberries, her nose was small and slightly tipped at the end that made her look cute. I met her eyes, staring into mine. Her eyes shone a gorgeous shade of violet. Everything about her was beautiful, to the point where I doubted that this lady in front of me looking at me with fear (guessing around my age) was actually born to the haggard old woman and farmer on the floor above.
Once I was over my initial shock, I looked a little closer. I seen that even though she is extremely beautiful, she is also not like a regular person.. or Normal. Not even a little bit. The people of this town are dull and boring with regular features, not like this 'person' should I say? I'm not sure what to call her. Although she is beautiful, she is dirty, wearing nothing, skinny and frail looking. I looked around at the surroundings and soon found out why. The place was filthy! dirt everywhere rotten things in the corner below a hole and it smelled! like really bad! That's when I knew that I needed to take her away from her parents that thought she was a demon.
*flashback* (still same P.O.V)
I walked up to the door of Mr. and Mrs. Holandsworth's house to pick up a tractor they wanted to get rid of for free. Everyone in town thought it was a piece of junk but I was thinking with my expertise and love of upcycling I would convert it to something useful again. I nocked on the wooden cyan colored door with the paint chipping off. Mrs. Holandsworth opened the door with a grim face.
Jakeob: Hi Mrs. Holandsworth I came here to pick up the tractor you wanted to get rid of.
Mrs. Holandsworth: Fine you dumb kid come in while we grab that piece of junk.
she said with a scratchy old voice. Walking in I noticed that although the place was painted with bright colors like yellow, lavender, and baby blue everything was run down with age. Wood splintering and paint peeling.
Mrs. Holandsworth: Just stay here while I find Mr. Holandsworth- he knows where the tractor is.
Jakeob: Where could your tractor be? maybe I can just search for it.
Mrs. Holandsworth: Do what you will- just beware of the demon in the basement, It might still be alive.
Jakeob: What do you mean demon?
Mrs. Holandsworth: You weren't in this godforsaken town yet when I was pregnant. I gave birth to a demon- when 'it' was born it shook the very foundations of this house! The weather turned all funky with a gray sky and horrible winds! The lights kept flickering on and off and after we looked at 'it' and the creature was obviously otherworldly! Its eyes glowed red like the underworld! We tried to care for 'it' in its first year but stuff kept happening so we locked it down in the basement ever since.
Jakeob: May I go check to see if its still alive?
*back to present*('It's' P.O.V)
I looked on in fear and horror as the man took a step forward towards me. I was already as far as I could be away from him, up against the wall I was scared.
Jakeob: Hey, its ok. Ill take you somewhere better than here, ok?
What? Somewhere better than here? But I'm doing fine here there's nothing wrong with it.
*Jakeob P.O.V*
She looked confused, then I remembered that she's been shut up here all her life and she might not know what I'm saying.
But I'm gonna take care of her from now on.
