The next morning I awake with a start. I have to go to the library right away and see if there is anything about my family's abilities. I get ready for the day, I attempt to look my best because of the King's arrival, but I can hardly think of that after last night's dream.

Visarys said that Firebearers can see the future so they can best protect the Targaryen family. Does that mean every time I dream of him or Daenerys, that I dream of the future? That it hasn't happened yet? How far in the future am I? Can I stop Daenerys from marrying Khal Drogo?

I'm thinking these thoughts as I walk down the hall, I almost run into servants preparing for the big day as I think deeply. I finally reach the Library tower and ask the Librarian for help finding what I need, he sets down books on a table in front of me.

"I'm sorry m'lady. We don't have much on the Firebearer House, mostly legends, stories, and children's books."

I nod. "I understand. Thank you."

He bows and walks away, I open the first book, it's a children's novel, full mostly of pictures of warriors bowing down before silver-haired princes and princesses.

"The Firebearers are a great warrior house." I read aloud. "Born protectors and servants of the Targaryen royal family." I sigh. "I know this already." I study the book. "I've read this book many times as a child." I set it aside and pick up the next one, it's covered in dust and grime and I have to wipe the cover to see what written. "Studies on magic by Maester Larkin." I lift an eyebrow this could be interesting. "I look through the table contents. "Witchcraft... no... religion... no... white walkers... no... Firebearers!" I flip to the section that it tells me to:

200 AC in the rule of King Aegon V

I travelled to Kings Landing to explore the rumours of the Firebearers involvement in magic. King Aegon, long may he reign, let me speak to the Captain of the Kings guard, Ser Eros Firebearer, so that I could better understand their prowess at fighting, this is what he told me:

"It is not magic Maester, rather I channel my ancestor's thoughts and memories and I can access their talent, skill, and wisdom."

When I asked him how he did this, he insisted I watch a demonstration, I eagerly agreed and he took me to a dark room, the room was full of candles, and cushions littered the floor. He told me to watch him carefully, he needed complete silence.

"I simply go into a relaxed state of mind and travel back in time, it's easier to go back to your closest family members, fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters.."

"Nyla!" I quickly shut the book and look behind me. Arya runs toward me. "Bran saw the King coming! I've been looking for you everywhere. We have to go stand with Mother and Father and meet him!"

I look toward the Librarian that helped me and hand him the book I was reading. "Can you have this sent to my room right away?" He nods and I take Arya's hand. "I suppose we can't be late then!"

She leads me toward the courtyard and I see most of the servants and guards gathered, waiting for the King and his court. Arya stands beside her sister Sansa who gives her a dirty look. I look around to try to find Jory, I turn to Sansa. "Sansa? Should I be standing next to Jory?"

She motions her head backward. "Just stand behind Arya. Jory will stand beside you."

"Where is he?" As the words slip out of my mouth I feel a hand on my arm, I turn and see Jory.

He smiles. "Surprise." He lifts an eyebrow. "Where did you go? Arya and I were searching all of Winterfell for you."

I sigh. "I was in the Library."
