Another day of high school. I tuck my binder close to my chest, looking straight ahead as I walk the long and crowded stretch of hallway. My long dark hair gets in my face and I brush a wayward strand away from me, before continuing my way.

A tall boy is walking the opposite way and jostles me with his shoulder. "Watch it!" he warns, scoffing as he passes by with his friends.

I cringe at this, hurrying my steps. Everyone is chattering about this and that.

"Did you go to Janice's party? Oh my god the cops were called within the hour." One girl gushed.

"I really think we can work this out. I mean, it was just a kiss. I still love you" a guy begged to his soon to be ex-girlfriend.

"What else you got, I need something to keep me alert. finals are coming" one guy says to another in hushed tones, his eyes darting left and right.

"Audrey!" A familiar voice yells my way and I turn back to see my friend Timothy, jogging down the hallway.

"Hey, Tim. What's up?" I ask him, adjusting the straps on my backpack. He was dressed in a plain white t-shirt, a black bomber jacket and his usual jeans and vans, his dark hair curling over his forehead.

He grinned, taking a few of my books to carry. "You didn't go to Janice's party. What happened?" he asked, walking with me to the parking lot.

I shrugged, tugging at the strings of my hoodie jacket. "Uh,  I just wasn't feeling it. But I heard I didn't miss out much" I replied making my way to my car as I rummaged in my bag for my keys.

Tim leaned against the side of the car, nodding. "Yeah, it wasn't really much of a rager. But you should come out some time. Or somewhere, like the outdoors" he said jokingly.

I sighed, elbowing him in the side as I finally found my keys and unlocked my car.

"Outdoors? Too much of a commitment. But come by on Friday, Annette and I are planning another movie night" I replied, and he smiled, nodding.

"Alright. I'll bring some scary ones" he said with a smirk, and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You wouldn't dare" I replied, getting into my car.

"Maybe" he replied back grinning widely. I rolled my eyes, smiling before I saw Nadine, Bianca, two of the most popular girls in school giving me dirty looks.

I stopped smiling and waved to him before leaving school, rushing home to make myself a snack.

After placing my backpack in my room, I bounded down the stairs going into the kitchen for food.

"Hm. What can I eat while I watch?" I wondered to myself opening the fridge wide open. After some deliberation I pulled open the freezer drawer, and heated up some bagel bites before setting a few on a plate and heading to the livingroom.

As I sat there, I could hear the thunder looming in, and various news channels told me that a storm was on its way.

"Audrey are you in here?" My older sister called to me, and she rolled her eyes seeing that I was waiting for my usual mid-week show.

"Hi Ate Annette, you want to watch?" I offered and she shook her head, taking a bagel bite before walking out of the room.

Shrugging to myself, I pressed the off and then the on button of the remote, anxious for the new episode of Riverdale.

As I did this a strong bolt of lightning came flashing against the house, and I felt a strong sense of static shock on my fingers.

"Shit" I yelped, rubbing my fingertips with my hands. Sighing I left the livingroom, and went to the kitchen noticing how quiet the house was all of a sudden. After running my hand through cold water, I dried it with a dishtowel and went searching around my house.

"Annette? Mom? Dad?" I called, going through each of the rooms but they were empty. Getting a spooked feeling from this I pulled out my phone and called each of them, but everything told me the line was not in service.

I tried calling Tim as well, but no luck.

What is happening?

I decided to go outside and see if I could find anyone to talk to about this. Pulling my front door open, I gasped my eyes widening.

"No way. It can't be" I murmured seeing the very familiar town setting and I decided to walk down the sidewalk, where I heard murmurs of a poppy version of "Milkshake" being sung.

Sure enough within a few feet I was in front of Pop's Diner, seeing Cheryl, Josie, and  Melody singing on the roof the diner.

"I'm just dreaming it's just a dream" I murmured to myself, freaking out now as I weaved through the crowd of people, walking faster across the town, not realizing I'd entered the Southside.

"Shoot" I murmured quickly turning around before any of the serpents could notice me in their turf.

"Hey!" A low male voice yelled.

Too late.

I slowly turned around, my hands clenched in my pockets as I tried not to look frightened, I was face to face with a tall serpent, a snake tattoo visible on the side of his neck. His jaw was slack and his eyes were narrowed in irritation.

I winced. "Ah, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to end up here honestly. Sorry!" I yelled apologizing quickly before I turned back around running as fast as I could back to the Northside, expecting to hear gunshots any moment being aimed at me.

As I ran the fundraiser for Pop's was still going on and a few people glanced at me in bewilderment, but most paid no attention to me.

I continued to run until I got back to my house which I noticed was next to Archie Andrew's house, and two houses down from mine was Betty Cooper's.

What.

I ran inside my house slamming the door and trying to catch my breath, before grabbing a glass of water.

"This is a dream this is a dream how can I be in Riverdale?!" I thought in a panic, before going to my room and trying to sleep it all off.

Around midnight, I could hear Archie and his father arguing, and new that I was not dreaming.

Groaning I threw my pillow over my head, not wanting to face the next morning.
