"Really? That looks pretty intense." He says with concern.

"I promise I'm fine." I grab his arm and pull him down the hallway. "Don't forget we're going to see Love, Simon this weekend."

"Not that I don't want to go to the movies with you but why Love, Simon? Can't we see Black Panther or something?" He asks.

"Because Love, Simon is a gay coming of age movie and in case you've forgotten, I'm kinda gay." I say.

"You aren't gay, gay though." He says and I roll my eyes.

"I'm apart of the LGBT community and I want to see this movie, okay." I say.

"Alright, it's a date." He smiles.

"Not a date." I correct. "We are going as friends."

"Whatever, you know you want me." He smirks and flexes.

"Leave. Get out. Go away. I can't stand you." I say between giggles.

He drops and arm around my shoulder and hugs me. "Later, Munchkin." He says and walks off down the hall.

"You two seem to be getting along well." I turn around and see Toni.

"Yeah, kinda." I bite my lip to keep from smiling.

"Look at you! You're so smitten." She smiles and shakes her head.

"I can't help it." I giggle.

"Speaking of things you can't help," She slips her arm through mine and we walk down the hall together. "You will not believe the conversation I just had with 'Cheryl Bombshell' in the bathroom."

"You talked to Cheryl?" I ask and she nods.

"I walked in an she had just told Jughead that Archie and Betty kissed." She says.

"What? Archie and Betty kissed?" I ask shocked.

"Apparently. Anyway, I confronted her about it she gave me this whole speech on how she's 'Cheryl Bombshell' and she doesn't need reasons and she just is. So I put my hand on her arm and asked her to tell me what was wrong and she told me to 'Get my sapphic serpent hands off her body'." She recounts the conversation.

"Are you serious? She used the word sapphic?" She nods. "Damn. That's 'Cheryl Bombshell' for ya. Don't worry, she grows on you."

"We'll see about that." She says.

I watch as Kevin paces back and forth while ranting about his Dad. He called me earlier and told me he needed to talk to me immediately. He said it was an emergency, but I never expected him to say that his Dad and Josie's Mom are having an affair.

"How could he do this to my Mom? I mean she's risking her life everyday while he's sneaking around with Mayor McCoy." He shakes his head as he continues to pace at the end of my bed.

"I'm sorry, Kev. I don't know what to tell you. What he's doing is really messed up and I'm not gonna pretend like I understand, because I don't but maybe you should give him the benefit of the doubt." I say and he stops pacing abruptly.

"The benefit of the doubt? He's cheating on my Mom, Bev." He says to me like I'm a child.

"I know, and that sucks, but maybe they actually care about each other." I suggest. He just shakes his head and sits down on the bed next to me. He lets out a big groan and flops onto his back. "Hey, Reggie and I are going to see Love, Simon this weekend, why don't you come with. You know, to get your mind off of everything."
