Everything was off, like one of those tilt-a-whirl rides that makes you dizzy when you step off. My eyes felt like they were glued shut and I couldn't feel anything in my body, it was like I just took the heaviest pain medicine on earth. At first it was nice, but once my conscious began to come back to me, it was terrifying. I couldn't move, couldn't see, couldn't hear, and couldn't feel! I tried desperately to force my arm to move, but nothing happened, trying to open my eyes wasn't working but slowly my senses came back to me. It was similar to leaving a movie theatre after seeing a horror flick, it takes you a while to get out of your seat. When I could feel my body again, I was surprised at how little it hurt, someone must have healed me, but who? I couldn't remember how I got here, all I remembered is meeting October and teleporting to Gringotts to find out wh-

I shot forwards.

My parents are going to be here! What would they do? How long have I been out? My eyes snapped across the room in a frantic frenzy until I noticed October on the floor up side down from being thrown from somewhere. Did I throw her off when I sat up?

"For Merlin's Sake! Why would you do that?" October's voice rang sharp through the air, her anger very evident. I couldn't help the laugh that escaped me, but stopped almost instantly as pain flared up my side.

"Sorry, I didn't realize that anyone was laying on me." I smiled tightly, still in a bit of pain but not willing to give into it. I bent over holding my breath against the pain and offered my hand to my companion. I saw her worried face but chose to ignore it, so she simply slid up my arm onto my shoulder and lightly rested herself against my neck, which felt quite odd if I thought about it. Not her, my neck. It felt like something new was there. Frowning I slowly brought my hand up to massage my neck, only to find that the skin was no longer there and something much more scaly greeted me. I grabbed at it suddenly, making sure not to hurt it in case it was an animal, but the thing wasn't an animal, it wouldn't peel off and it felt oddly like it should be there.

"Welcome to your new form young speaker!" October's face was hidden from my view but I could tell she was smiling. "I figured you'd have blocks on you, but I didn't think you'd have blocks on a creature inheritance! That is wonderful! That makes you even more powerful than we thought!"

I shook my head. Nothing was ever normal with me, "I do not believe it is a good thing October, you heard how the goblins talked about Dumbledore and his beliefs on creatures. It could end up being a disadvantage." I could feel her emotions shift from happy to sad in moments. That was new. I sighed and reached my hand up to pet her head in reassurance. I suppose someone had heard my wake because seconds after I started petting October a goblin whom I had never seen before burst in, shocking me out of my peaceful silence and almost sending me into a fit of fear.

"Oh Merlin! I'm sorry Mr. Riddle-Snape! I didn't mean to frighten you, you just were out for a while and I was worried." It was quite surprising to hear a goblin talk like one would to their child, especially if the one they're directing their words at was you. "I would offer you a calming drought but you have had the maximum for you to stay healthy." She smiled apologetically, "My name's Adelaide sweetheart, I'm meant to watch over you until your parents are done getting their blocks removed." Panic flooded me for a moment before she continued, " Woodrow, the goblin that took care of you when you reached here, informed me that he promised you the information about your parents. Well, Lord Riddle had multiple mind altering potions and spells placed upon him, I unfortunately can not go further into detail about that since we are under contract but I assure you he had no real intention to kill you. We believe it may have been your magical guardian that did all of the horrid acts against you and false memories were just placed on both of you." Adelaide smiled kindly towards me before continuing. "Lord Snape did have multiple mind altering spells placed upon him, but none as severe at Lord Riddle did."
