I woke up with a slight headache, but I had fun last night after Daniel asked me out on that date. When I went to find Joshua, I saw him coming out of a room buttoning his shirt as I came out of the bathroom then Harper came out after him. Eww.
I turned my head as the sun shone through the windows and my brother sound asleep. He looked a lot like dad, who left us for some unknown reason last year. I haven't heard from him since and mom wouldn't talk about him at all.
I got off my bed and stretch, then picked up my phone. One message from Madison,
Madison: Hey girl, how was the party? I heard Harper hooked up with a hot college guy
Me: The party was lit and yeah its true she did
Madison: Was anything else interested?
Me: Oh yeah, Daniel asked me out on a date
Madison: Really? You bitch, you could've told me as soon as he
Me: But I'm not going
Madison: What?!
Me: Remember I want to give him a taste of his own medication ;)
Madison: Okay, I'll come pick you up before he does. What time will he be coming to pick you up?
Me: Around 2
Madison: I'll pick you up at 1: 30 then swing by Maya and Carmella's house
Me: Sounds good and about Maya with Eric?
Madison: We'll find an outfit so he can know she exist on Monday
Me: Cool
I brushed my teeth then I went to the kitchen where my mother was sipping coffee and scrolling through her laptop, her light brown hair in a bun.
"Morning," I said as I opened the fridge.
"You got the bathroom to clean and the place to vacuum. I got some work to do at the office," she closed the laptop and placed the cup in the sink, "tell Joshua, he got the backyard to mow then also the neighbor asked to do his own as well," she added.
I took out the gallon of milk which was almost finished, "mom we're almost out of food," I said closing the fridge when I got two eggs.
"Then make a list and get them later. I will not be back till around 7 and here's the money," she placed the money on the counter.
She left as I fried the eggs and Joshua came in rubbing his eye.
"How was her?"
"Shit you saw me? She was alright," he shrugged pouring some milk in a glass.
"Mom said you have to mow the lawn and also the neighbour's."
"Great, I'm going back to sleep," he grumbled and took the glass with him.
Someone knocked on the front door as I finished eat my breakfast, I opened the door.
"Hey Liam, what are you doing here?"
"Is your brother there? My father is not a patient man, you know."
"He just went back in his bed, so why don't you mow the lawn?"
"I got lacrosse practice on Saturday mornings, so I can't."
"I'll go wake him back up, do you want some eggs, I got leftovers," I offered.
"Sure, my mother didn't make any breakfast. She said I'm old enough to make my own and Saturday mornings is her time to sleep in," he chuckled.
"You're lucky your mother still cook for you, my mother don't," I complained.
