"Thanks."
"So who are you looking for?" I asked her.
"My mum."
"She's over by the door greeting some people."
"Thank you, come on Ash." she said pulling him.
He waved bye and it was just me and Michael.
"Have you seen Luke yet?" I asked him.
"Not yet."
"Are you sure he's coming?"
He turned me so I was facing him and took both of my hands in his. "He'll be here, okay? And I promise everything will be fine."
I nodded, and watched as his eyes moved over to the side.
"Maybe. Everything might be okay."
I followed his eyes, and saw the last thing I would ever want to see. Luke was with Rebecca and she had her arm hooked through his.
"I'm sorry, Rae." Michael said.
"It's fine. I guess this just means we're over."
"No, Rae you can't give up on him!"
"I don't know what else to do!"
"Are you and Luke over?" Calum asked.
"Yes."
"No."
"Mikey."
"I am so confused right now." Calum interrupted our small disagreement.
"Yes, Luke and I are done."
"No you aren't!"
"Why would you want to give up on him?"
"Because it looks like he's already moved on."
"He's just jealous."
"Yeah, come on Rae. You still like him and we all know it. You just need to talk to him and find out what the hell is going on." Calum argued with me too.
"When? He's got that stupid bitch all over him..." I said, glancing his way. "Shit, they're coming over here."
"Right now?"
"Right now." Michael assured Calum.
"Hey." Luke said.
"Hi." we chorused.
"Lukey, are you going to introduce me to your friends?" Rebecca's shrill voice asked.
Lukey? I think I'm going to throw up. I did notice that she tried to grab his hand, but he pulled it away.
"We all go to school together, you should know each other. Are you okay, Rae?"
My eyes widened slightly. I was not expecting him to ask that. "Um.."
"I'm just asking because you haven't answered any of my texts and I didn't see you at all yesterday."
"Oh, I forgot to get my phone back from Brianna."
"Can we talk, please?"
"Luke, we should-"
He ignored her and stepped closer to me. "Please?"
I nodded and walked outside with him, getting a smile from both Michael and Calum. Once we were outside and standing off to the side, he leaned against the wall and sighed.
"I wasn't expecting that to be that bad of a fight."
"I know. Usually we're fine within a couple hours."
"So what happened?"
"You know I hate Rebecca, and that's who you chose to spend your time with instead of talking to me?"
"What about you? You immediately went over to Michael and Calum."
"But why should that matter? If I liked one of them, I would be with them. I like you Luke, and I don't know. You're so jealous all the time and you shouldn't be."
"I'm sorry. I know I can be crazy sometimes, but I'm just worried you'll find someone better."
"Well stop that." I said, while lightly hitting him.
He laughed and pulled me closer to him by my hips. "Fine, but I really don't like the fact that you talk to Jayden so much.."
"Luke, he lives in New York right now."
"Okay, that makes me feel a lot better."
I smiled, but rolled my eyes. He's seriously so ridiculous.
"Let's not fight like that again."
"I agree."
He smiled and slowly leaned down. My heart started racing, and my entire body started getting goosebumps when his lips met mine. This was seriously the perfect moment for our first kiss.
"We should probably go back in there."
"Yeah, I can only imagine how Brianna feels right now." I said.
"True." Luke smiled and laced his fingers with mine, then we started walking back inside.

Brianna's POV
"Babe, you need to stop." Ashton said as he steadied my hand.
"Sorry." I've been playing with the stray pieces of my blond hair since the rest of it was up. I wasn't nervous, no, I was super pissed off. "She said she would."
"I know, but she is hosting."
"That's no excuse. If she has time to talk to one of her friends from work, she has time to talk to her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend."
I smiled at Rae as she sat down, Luke sitting down next to her and immediately moving her chair closer to his so he could keep his arms around her. I'm assuming they worked things out.
"Have you talked to your mum yet?" she asked.
"No." I snapped.
She glanced at Ashton.
"It's not a good subject," he explained.
"She's been avoiding us all night." I cut in. "Every time I try to introduce Ashton to her, she sees some else that she absolute has to go see."
"I'm sorry."
"I thought she was going to be a little more accepting tonight."
"She'll get there. Maybe you just need to introduce them when your mum isn't hosting anything."
"Like a dinner?"
"Yeah."
I looked at Ashton.
"That works for me. Name it and I'll be there."
I smiled and leaned against him. He took my hand and placed it in his lap.
"Do you mind coming over too?" I asked Rae and Luke.
"Sure." She answered.
"It'll make me feel more comfortable and then she gets to know more of you. Then we'll slowly bring in Michael and Calum."
"That's fine. I'm all for it." Luke said.
She's meeting them, I'm making it my personal goal for this year.
