Last Chapter: Hastily, I texted her back saying that I would be back in a few hours, before turning my notifications off. How I was going to make sure she never knew about this, I had no idea...

Jordie's POV:

While Alex made us both hot chocolates to warm us up after we'd spent the last few hours freezing in the winter temperatures, Toby and I sat down at the island. I heard footsteps on the stairs and soon after, Perrie walked into the kitchen.

"You're back early." She began before seeing me and Toby. "Jordie! I didn't know you were coming back here. How've you been? I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." She walked over and gave me a hug.

"It's only been a week, but yeah, I've been alright. It was a good match this morning and definitely a good result." I laughed, turning round to see Toby staring in awe at Perrie.

"Is this your friend?" She asked.

"Yeah, this is Toby." I replied.

"Hi Toby, how are you? Did you enjoy the match?" She said, giving Toby a brief hug.

"Uh...um...yeah, yeah it was good." He stuttered, unable to take his eyes off her.

Alex clearly noticed this as seconds later he joked "Don't worry kid, she often has that effect on people." We laughed and Toby turned red.

"Alex!" Perrie warned. "Don't listen to him, he's joking." She continued, turning back to Toby.

"Hey, what do you two want to eat?" Asked Alex.

"I don't know about you Toby, but I'm so hungry I don't even care." I said.

"Yeah, anything's good." He agreed.

"Pez, have the kids eaten yet?" Alex asked.

"No, I was waiting until you got back." Perrie replied.

"I'll make them some food too then. You should call them down." He suggested.

"Yeah." Answered Perrie and she went out into the hallway. "Lillie! Tommy! Come downstairs please!"

Alex handed us our hot chocolates and we sipped them, waiting for the kids to arrive. The sound of pattering feet followed and a short time later, the two toddlers came into the room behind Perrie. Lillie immediately spotted me.

"Jordie!" She cried, running over to me. I reached down and picked her up, placing her on my lap.

"Hi, you." I grinned.

"Why are you here?" She asked.

"To see you of course." I joked and she giggled.

"Really?"

"Yeah, and to see your daddy play football."

"Our daddy."

"Sorry, our daddy. Hey Lillie, this is my friend Toby. Do you want to say hi?" I said. Toby smiled kindly at Lillie.

"Hi Toby." She said, timidly.

"Hi Lillie, how old are you?" He replied.

"I'm four."

"Wow four, that's a big number! Have you started school yet?" He asked. Lillie smiled and nodded her head proudly.

"Yeah, I'm the youngest in my class."

"Wow."

"You're in school, aren't you?" She asked.

"Yeah I am. I'm 13." He replied.
