°At the Demon King Palace°
                          
*Akashi's POV*
                          
Everything's dark... But suddenly light fills through the middle line of my closed eyes. Who turned on the lights? Who opened the curtain? Why is there even a sun here? Aren't I in the underworld? Of course I am in the underworld, we just have our own sun. I slowly opened my eyes that were closed. Light was filling the whole room, it should be dark.. But no, a maid came in and opened the curtains. Why can't they just let me be? Lowly peasants shouldn't even be able to come into my elegant room. It is unfit for an inelegant demon like hose peasants and maids, did I forget butlers? 
                          
I sit up in my bed, and begin to think about what I had to go through just to claim the throne. All the hardships, which weren't really hardships at all. I was ABSOLUTE. I got up and grabbed a towel heading for the bathroom. Who doesn't shower in the morning? 
                          
After I got done showering, I started thinking about what my great great great grandfather said, "My great great great grandson.. I believe you should find yourself a wife! Produce an heir as soon as you can too! Who knows if you'll die early?" Of course I won't die, but to make my great great great grandfather happy, I could at least find concubines, where I will choose one from to be my wife. I won't love her, she'll just sit still and look elegant for the people.

I put on my clothes and walked out of my elegant room. As i past by servants, they bowed down to me. I nodded a hello, then walked off. I will send out flyers and get the beautifuliest maiden here in the Underworld. Yes...

*Kuroko's POV*
                          
I gently sing to the demon birds, they are quite cute despite their given name. Today will be like any other day.. Snowy.. Yes, I can remove it. But. They love the snow.. why? My snow has killed many lives, I didn't mean to... I walk back inside the small house, seeing my mother cooking dinner. I go ask if she needs any help, "OH! Tetsuya! No need to help mother. Go clean up yourself, I heard the new king is looking for concubines!"
                          
I began to wonder why it has anything to do with me. "But... I am not a female.." My mother gently shoved me to the bathroom. "Make sure to clean up neatly and look presentable!" I shook my head slowly but said okay to her. Father was out doing his job.. Saving demons from evil demons, using his powers. Sadly, he barely comes home to even see mother and I. 
                          
I began combing my long hair that made me look like a female. What if I cut it? What would i look like by Then? I can't imagine my hair being cut. As i finished, I walked out and told my mother i'd be going out to buy groceries. "THERE SHE IS! THE MOST BEAUTIFULIEST MAIDEN IN THIS VILLAGE!!" Shouted a man pointing at someone. 
                          
I turned my head to see who, and realized he were pointing to me. Wah.. ME. "I-I'm not..-" I start to say but was soon cut off by the man. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!??!?!? WE HAVE TO SEND THE MOST BEAUTIFULIEST MAIDEN IN OUR VILLAGE TO THE NEW DEMON KING!!!!" 
                          
I was SHOOK. He got me SHOOK. I am not a maiden. I am a male. Not a female. Not a maiden. Yet I was called a maiden. The man grabbed my arm and began pulling me towards the carriage, "e-excuse me! Are you kidnapping me?!!? I've been in these village my whole entire life! And nobody has ever been kidnappened around here!" I said while trying to get out of his hands. 
                          
The struggle was real.
                          
I just realized.. I never got the groceries. And I never got back to my mother. And I couldn't leave my precious demon birds! Who will feed them? Who will sing to them? Who will take care of my mother when my father is away??!?!?!!??!!? This certain thought made me panick, making me become wrapped in a windy, snowy, cold shield. "LET ME GO!" I roared out. Making the man release me right away while stumbling back, I took this chance and ran away. 
                          
That was a close call, annnnddddd... now I must go get the groceries....
