Brianna's POV

I snuck out if the house the next morning. I had absolutely no desire to be yelled at by the wicked witch of the west about everything, including my outfit because I'm sure she would think it was way too provocative. My t-shirt with a sunset and the words "what's your dream" on it, had a knot tied at the side and it showed maybe an inch of stomach, and I was wearing black skinny jeans, and black converse. My hair was left naturally wavy.... Oh my gosh she would definitely change her opinion of me if she saw me right now. But this was honestly me, and I would never want to be the cookie cutter image that she expects me to be.

I walked into the school and went to find Rae, even though I technically shouldn't, but my mum isn't here and there's nothing she can do about it. I found her by her locker, laughing while she was holding her phone out to Luke, even though she was laughing so hard and Luke had to hold her wrist so he could clearly see.

"Hey," I smiled.

"Hi," she smiled back. Luke waved and decided to just take her phone. "What's up?"

"I'm sorry for blaming you."

She shrugged. "It's whatever. Damn, I think I might be a bad influence on you."

"That's what my mum thinks too."

"What?"

"Hey," Ashton said, coming up next to me with Michael and Calum.

"Perfect, you guys are all here."

"What do you mean?"

"So I talked to my mum last night..."

"Really? What'd she say?"

"I'm grounded for two weeks and I'm not allowed to see any of you ever again, I guess."

"Even me?" Rae asked.

"Yeah, something about all of you being bad influences on me."

Rae just started laughing, and leaned against Luke. Luke smiled and rested his chin on her head.

"Wait so you did tell your mum?" Ashton asked.

"I tried to, and then she cut me off and started yelling at me."

He smiled and pulled me closer so he could kiss me.

"She still doesn't approve though." I said when we broke apart.

"She'll get over it."

I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"So are you coming over tonight, or what?" Rae asked me.

"Yeah, probably."

"Great, just don't tell your mum because we're all gonna be there."

I laughed. Yeah, there was no way I was gonna abandon my friends.

~~~~~~~~~~~
"Your mum called me yesterday," Rae's dad told me.
"Yeah, she said she was going to."
"I'm not going to tell her you're here, I promise."
"Thank you!" I sighed.
"I don't know why she doesn't like these boys, they're all really nice once you get to know them."
My eyes widened and I looked at Rae.
"You guys have fun." He said, then left.
"Weird, right?" Rae laughed.
"Yeah..."
"He's, like obsessed with Luke too. It's so weird."
"He's just gotten used to all of us. We even played him some of our music and he loved it." Luke said.
My eyes widened even more.
"This whole thing is weird." Rae nodded.
"No kidding."
I walked over to Ashton and sat down next to him.
"So who is it Mikey?" Rae asked him.
He blushed and looked away from her.
"What am I missing?"
"Rae's been torturing Michael the past couple days trying to figure out who he likes."
"Ooooo."
"No, don't 'ooo' to that. It's really annoying." He protested.
I laughed.
"You're not getting it out of me, I'm sorry Rae."
"Oh, come on, please? I'm your bestest friend."
"Um, no. I believe that's my position." Calum argued.
"No, Calum you're my bestest friend," Luke explained.
"Riiiiggghhhhtttt." He said.
"Let's be honest here," Ashton cut in. "I'm his bestest friend."
"See what you started? This could have easily been avoided if you would've just admitted who you like." Rae smirked.
"It's not happening."
She frowned.
"I'll tell you when I get over her."
"Fiiiiiinnnnnneeeeee, I'll let it go, but you have to dance with me tomorrow in the cafeteria and actually put some heart into it this time."
He groaned, but agree. How could you not? Rae would've made him do it even if he said no.
"Brianna?" Mr. Jackson asked.
"Yeah?"
"Your mum is looking for you."
Damn it. "Okay. I guess I'll go home. You didn't tell her anything right?"
"Nope. I just told her you'll probably turn up soon, and I haven't seen you in a while. And then she proceeded to give me a lecture on how my daughter is a bad influence on her and I need to help her make sure you don't come over anymore."
"Sounds like my mum."
"So I'll see you tomorrow?" He smirked.
"Probably."
"You're always welcome here, especially if you just need to get away from her."
"Thanks Mr. Jackson."
"No problem."
He smiled and then disappeared around the corner.
"I love your dad." I told Rae.
"I know, he's pretty amazing."
I waved bye to everyone and then left, hoping my mum will believe my story about me tutoring, but now that she knows I've spent time with them, I doubt she will.
