Chapter 36 - Proposal

I looked at myself at the mirror and smiled. I walked into the office and checked everything again one more time. I took the rose petals and spread them on the floor. I took a really really deep breath and looked at the watch. I still have 10 minutes left. 
                          
I looked at the banner and smiled. I looked at the flower and smiled. Gosh.. I'm freaking damn crazily nervous. I closed my eyes and tell myself that everything will run smoothly. 
                          
I've been thinking about this proposal since last week and today is the day. I kept looking at my watch and sarted to countdown. My palms were sweating because of the nervousness. I stood in the middle of the room waiting.. 
                          
3.. 2.. 1.. 
                          
"What the hell is this?" Nicholas Lemiere entered the office along with all 3 sons. I smiled big time and gave the big bouquet of flower to Nicholas. 
                          
"Will you be my father-in-law and my brother-in-law?" Matthew read the banner that I put up on the window.
                          
"Rose petals?" Brandon asked as he looked down to the ground.
                          
"Are you crazy?" Dylan asked and all of them looked at me coldly. The smiled on my face turned upside down. 
                          
"Do you think this is a joke?" Nicholas asked in an angry tone.
                          
"Sir, I.. I didn't mean to.." I suttered and became extremely panic. Gosh Lucas, you were a fucking ex-mafia. You used to kill people and be all scary and everything but now you're weak.
                          
"Just because I let you see my daughter.. it doesn't mean I will give you two blessings." He said coldly and he threw the bouquet of flowers to the ground. He stepped on it and he walked to his seat.
                          
"You make me hate you more, Vecton." Nicholas added and I sighed. 
                          
"Who gave you permission to come in here?" Brandon asked. I closed my eyes and took a really deep breath. I opened up my eyes again and I turned to Brandon.
                          
"Can we talk?" I asked him and he laughed. Okay fine.. i kneeled both on my knees facing Nicholas and looked at him seriously.
                          
"Mr. Nicholas Lemiere, I love you daughter to death. I'm crazily in love with your daughter. I'm so in love with your daughter. I can't even describe how much I love her." I said and Nicholas looked at me coldly.
                          
"I will do anything to get a permission from you all to marry her. I love her with all my heart sir. It's crazy that I've never been this in love before. I'm serious with her and talked about marriage a few times with her. She kept suggesting that we should run away and just get married without anyone knowing but I don't agree with that. I want to ask you properly as her father.. as her brothers that I want to marry her. I swear with all my life that I will love her, will protect her, will keep her safe, will give her anything she wants especially make her happy." 
                          
"I don't want to be a jerk, an asshole and a bastard who will just runaway and married her without you all knowing. I want to officially ask you all to let me and give me the permission to marry Crystal. I love her so much until I can't live without her." 
                          
"So will you Nicholas Lemiere be my father-in-law and you Matthew Lemiere, Dylan Lemiere and Brandon Lemiere be my brother-in-law?" I literally proposed them to be my father-in-law and brother-in-law. I looked at them one by one but none of them give their answers.
                          
"Leave us alone." Nicholas looked at Matthew, Dylan and Brandon. They looked like they're about to protest but they listened to their dad's words. They left the room and he gestured me to sit down instead of kneeling on the ground. I got up and sat in front of him. He got up from his seat and looked out the window.
                          
"I lost my family when I was a kid. I was alone and I don't have no one in my life except my dad's employee that he trained to protect us, Lemiere. I built everything again from the scratch with Aaron, Sky, Alex, Max, Luke and Sebastian. We both learned how cruel the world together and we became unseperatable ever since. We commited that we won't settle down because we thought that love will make us a fool. I was right but I turned into a fool in a really good and positive way." He said and then he turned to me.
                          
"My kids are the greatest gifts for me and my wife. We're so thankful to have them all especially when I heard the news that I finally going to have a daughter. I love her so much already even though she's still a womb. I love her so much that if someone dares to hurt her.. I promise myself I will kill the guy right away." He said and looked at me coldly. 
                          
"I'm sorry, sir." I said as I looked down avoiding his eyes.
                          
"To be honest.. I hate you. I hate you the fact that my daughter falls in love with a man like you." He sighed and I can't help but sweating my ass off. I'm damn nervous.
                          
"I hate you more because the fact that you can make her happy and smile widely without even trying." He added.
                          
"I hate you more and more because I hate the fact that I need to let her go soon." His voice turned husky and I looked up to him.
                          
"I'm not ready to let her go." He said in a really small tone. I understand about his feelings. I bet I will act like this too if I have a daughter in the future.
                          
"I understand you, Mr. Lemiere. I will wait until you're ready to let her go. I won't rush you. I will wait until all of you give me permission to marry her because I don't want to be a jerk by asking her to runaway and get married. I want her to have her dream wedding that she always talks about. I want her to have all her family by her side with she gets married." I said and he sighed again.
                          
"I want you to hand your daughter officially to me." i added. He got up from his seat and walked towards the window. He looked out the window for a moment until he decided to say..
                          
"I still won't let my daughter be with you."
