~Laurens POV~
                          
I walk into my dorm building sighing.  I get a new roommate this year because Laf decided to move in with Hercules.  I wonder who it will be.  As long as they are better than Jefferson, I'll be okay.
                          
I silently make my way to dorm 1776 in the junior wing.  I came to King's College to make my dad happy.  He wanted me to study law, which I was, but I was secretly taking advanced art classes and learning sign language; just to make me happier here.  
                          
I arrive at the same dorm I was in last year: 1776.  I unlock the door expecting to see a human in the room, but no one was there.  I didn't unpack much as I left most of my big things here over the summer.  I slowly unpack some new clothes, some small snacks, and my toiletries.  Lastly, I take out my laptop and place it on my desk, sling with some binders and paper.  I was finally settled in.  Class doesn't start for another week and half.  I had time to relax.

I woke up to a loud banging.  I look at my phone: 2:47.  I was only asleep for about two hours.  I walk to the door expecting my roommate to be on the other side, but it was just Herc and Laf.  "Mon ami!" Laf yelled.  I chuckle and hug him. "Long time no see, Laf!" Herc and Laf walk in and immediately see if there's anything in the fridge.  "I just got here, guys." I roll my eyes.  "There is nothing but ketchup and some water I got last year."  Herc grumbles something and sits on the floor.  "Who's your, how you say, roommate?" Laf questions.  "They haven't arrived yet, Laf.  I'm anxious to see who they are.  I just hope they aren't as bad as Jefferson."  Damn, Jefferson.
                          
Herc opens his mouth to say something when we hear a soft knock at the door.




                          
a/n: AHHHH FINALLY!!!  i love lams too much to not write some cliché collage au fic.  i don't know if i'll have an update schedule with this. as long as it's not everyday, you guys can suggest a schedule that's reasonable.  also Peachy_Lams wrote the first ever Lams fics i've ever read.  so i guess they kinda sparked this idea of me writing one.  follow them and read their stuff haha.  this i also dedicated to my bestest buddy and mom angeliclester because they need to listen to hamilton.  they also encourage me to write so just a lil thank you and dedication to those humans.  i'll see you in the next chapter!
