Ava POV
I was at the pool when a familiar voice rang in my ears.
"hey! scuze me but I couldn't help but see you're over here by yourself." said...OMG! it was the blue eyed boy from the airport!
"uhm I'm not alone," I looked over to see that Jess was there but it seemed she'd gone some where. crap.
"ya I guess I am." I said, defeated.
"would you like to come play a game of volleyball with me and my friends?" he asked.
seeing I had nothing else to do, I agreed.
"sure, only on one condition, will you introduce me to your other friends? the brown eyes boy I think his name was... Cameron? I think? he was soooo cute! I really wanted to get to know him.
"of course!" he said, "now let's go!"
he dragged me over to the sand volleyball courts where the other boys were waiting to pick teams.
"ok so these are my friends!" said nash.
"I'm Jack Johnson." said a blonde shortish one.
"I'm Jack Gilinsky." zayum. he had nice abs...
"I'm Matt!" he said while his cheeks turned bright red. aww he was blushing.
"Sup, I'm Carter" one of them said and then he winked at me. I could tell he was a major flirt.
Then there was Taylor, who was soooooo muscular.
And then Shawn and Aaron.
And then, there was one left. and he was stunning. his brown eyes looked like chocolate.
"hey. I'm Cameron. but you can call me cam"
I immediately had a major crush on him.
NO. you can't. falling in love is what ruins your life! why can't I remember that. agreeing to play volleyball with them was a mistake. but I didn't want to be rude and leave so I'll stay and try to enjoy myself.
"alright! it's nice to meet all of you. now let's get this game started! Be prepared for a beating" I said with a smirk.
"in you dreams! we are beasts at volleyball." Taylor said with a lot of confidence. little did they know, back in my home town, I was an all state right side hitter and my volleyball team was the best in the state. Me and Bestfriend Megan kill it on the court. (shoutout to my real life bestie Megan! love you gurl)
"In your dreams! now I'll be a team captain with uhm Matt!" I said. "you can pick first."
the teams ended up,
team 1- me nash Jack J Carter and Aaron

team 2- Matt cam Jack G Shawn and Taylor
this was gonna be fun. we had the line up on our team as Nash was setter, Jack J was in serving position and I was right side hitter.
it was there ball first so cam served and Jack bumped it up to nash, nash set me up and I hit a perfect line shot! Cam tried to dive to it but he was too slow. all the boys jaws dropped.
"guys! you know it's not nice to stare!" I said snapping them out of their trance.
"why didn't you tell us you were AMAZING at volleyball??!?" Cam asked.
"I thought it would be funnier to see your guys reaction! and I am very amused!" I giggled.
we played for a while and I had a lot of fun. maybe this week wouldn't be so bad after all.
