Speaking Leads to Biting

                                    

                                          
"VENNELAAAA"
                          
The basement of the house shook with the yell that was coming from the silent son of the house, Jai. Lakshmi ran to the front portico and pulled Vennela aside, who was getting the place ready for the wedding that was going to happen in few hours. 
                          
"Oseii!"
                          
Vennela was just as nonchalant. 
                          
"Enti?"
                          
"Why is Jai yelling?"
                          
"Ask him"
                          
Lakshmi so wanted to give her daughter a smack. But her daughter's condition was not letting her do so. 
                          
"What did you do?"
                          
But all she got from Vennela as a response was a smirk. Vennela walked up to their room and opened the door. 
                          
"Vennela.. DONT LAUGH!"
                          
Jai said irritatingly. But Vennela could not help. Because her Bava was standing there in white Lalchi and boxer shorts. 
                          
"You stand like that.. And expect me not to laugh? I thought my Bava was intelligent!"
                          
"Vennellaaaa!I said I will wear my pant shirt. But you threw them in laundry.. Seriously? All my shirts? Now I don't have a choice than to wear this!"
                          
Jai was so irritated making Vennela chuckle as she came inside and took the Pancha. She went near him and started draping the pancha for him. 
                          
"Now.. Bava.. When you irritate your wife, you should be ready to face the consequence too. And this is your Maradalu here."
                          
Saying she tucked the last bit of Panche below his belly making him wince that made her chuckle. 
                          
"What did I do? I just wanted to SPEAK with you!"
                          
Vennela glared at him.
                          
"And you had to say that in front of our family last night after Dinner?"
                          
She asked pinching him on his hip. 
                          
"Ouch Vennela!" 
                          
"Enti?"
                          
"I was genuine.."
                          
"Alaga? Then what were you doing till late night and why did we both wake up late.."
                          
Jai's ears went red. 
                          
"That.."
                          
"Yes.. that!"
                          
"We were speaking"
                          
Vennela looked here and there and not finding anything, she just gave him one strong smack on his head. 
                          
"MALLI SPEAKING ANNAVO.. KORIKESTA! I will bite you"
                          
Jai laughed happily as he pulled his wife in his arms and placed his forehead on hers. 
                          
"Bite me? Tell me something new.. If I remove this Lalchi, what do you think I will find?"
                          
"Shh.. Bava!"
                          
Vennela admonished but couldn't help the red hue spreading on her cheeks and neck. 
                          
"Aaahh"
                          
She winced the next moment and glared at her husband who had bitten her nose.
                          
"Enduku korikavu?"
                          
"Just a small pay back.. Wild wifey!"
                          
"Aahh.. Ouch.. ouch.. Vennela.."
                          
Jai laughed as Vennela started hitting him and twisting his ears. It was happy moment. Soon, the sun set and all the guests got ready for the marriage. Both the villages of feud were happily participating in the wedding indicating the upcoming golden days for the villages. 
                          
"BAAAAVVVAAA"
                          
This time it was Arjun. Who called Jai to cry on his shoulders as his last days of bachelorhood were over. 
                          
"Rei! Aapu ra. You are not being given capital punishment. You are getting married."
                          
Jai said putting the PAI PANCHE around Arjun's neck. Then he put drushti chukka on Arjun's cheek.
                          
"See Arjun. All these years, we both weren't here. But now we are. We should make sure everyone's happy. Premiddam Dude.."
                          
"Maha Ayithe thirigi premistaru"
                          
They heard a chorus and turned to see Poorna, Vennela and chinna giggling.
                          
"Jai.. Chaalu.. Come. Bring Arjuna Bava to the altar, we are getting late."
                          
Poorna said. Jai and Vennela escorted Arjun and Poorna did the Bava maridi formalities. 
                          
Soon, after so many dramatics, Arjun tied the mangalsutram around Manasa's neck and they became man an wife in front of both the village people. 
                          
Jai carried Arjun on his shoulders as Manasa tried to garland him.
                          
"Rei Bava! Let me get married in peace ra!" 
                          
Arjun chided. 
                          
"Rei! You be quiet"
                          
Vennela admonished cheering her husband. Adi who could not see his daughter being played, carried Manasa on his shoulders letting her capture Arjun. 
                          
The event was so playful and by the time, both were pushed into their respective rooms, it was 4 in the morning. 
                          
"Vennela! Enough.. Sleep now.."
                          
He said as they both changed to their sleeping clothes.
                          
"But.. Bava.. The cleaning people.."
                          
"Athaiyya said she will take care and cleaning people are coming by 6 only. Now SLEEP!"
                          
He said pulling her on him. Vennela bit his cheeks and giggled as he winced. But with a beautiful smile, both slept. Jai thought life could not get any more peaceful. But.. Future had a lot in store for him.
