Sorry for the delay! Next Chapter coming right up I hope you enjoy! Frisk tries to talk some sense into Fish stick... and flowers can be dicks....
"You have to die... you have to die. So we all can go home." Frisk felt her blood freeze as she saw tears gather at the corners of Undyne's eyes. She was shaking sweating and her armored fingers dug into the dirt as she balled her hands into fists. Frisk could have been seeing things but she wasn't so sure anymore.
"Gerson said that when Flowey was released from his tomb or wherever the little hell spawn came from that he tormented and fed off pain and misery... what did he do to you?"
"T—that's none of your—" she passed out—her body going slack as she slammed into the ground. It was a rough hit.
"Now is your chance to finish her..." again Flowey popped up when he was not wanted.
"Who are you—why are you tormenting people?"
"Why not Frisk... what I can do down here I can stay sustained for a long time but I am getting bored you see... toying and manipulating are fun and all but I know there is more up there."
"I ought to use this on you, you little shit!" she dove at him as he disappeared back into the soil laughing.
"Humans are so fun to torment." He popped up by Undyne. "Come on push her into the lava below—put her out of her misery, no need to keep her around she has become useless."
"I am not doing your bidding weed." She snarled climbing to her feet.
"Kill her and I will let you go—I don't need you to escape this place, I have been leading them on for years and years to sustain me, their broken hope and yearning for the surface is sweeter than the purest honey. The barrier that keeps them here is by my doing." He smiled sweetly up at her.
"You're lying..." she gripped the handle harder her knuckles turning white. If he was jerking her around...
"Am I?" he smirked as a portal opened behind him... her mouth dropped open seeing her basement right before her.... the swirling mass ripped into what seemed like her very reality had opened up in an oval to show her how easy it was to go home. What if he was right and all of this was by his doing—these mentioning's of moving forward were lies because he spread them... what if there were other ways out of here? "Kill Undyne and you can go home."
"Why do you want her dead..."
"I told you before she is useless..."
He was lying to her—or she hopped he was with every fiber of her being. "There is nothing you can gain if you help me..." Frisk tested the waters.
"And you have everything to lose if you pass up this opportunity."
/Do not trust him./ wounds sounded in her head as she acted on them and went on the attack—the little demon hissed and darted away but not before knocking Undyne off.
"Shit!" Frisk grabbed Undyne's hand right when she went over and about yanked her arms out of socket because tuna can was heavy in that armor... the movement seemed to stir her as she opened her eyes.
"Unhand me!"
"Do you really want to die that bad fish stick?" she struggled on her stomach to back up—
Undyne looked over her shoulder and tensed.
"Help me—you are heavy you big beluga!"
Undyne did but she was weakened by the heat. So once she had helped heave her own ass over the edge of the cliff Frisk gave her a hand back to the cool side of the walkways. She instantly seemed to perk up.
"Why did you not finish me?" her breathing was still heavy as she looked up at Frisk who stood next to her seated form still holding the knife.
"Because I'm not heartlessly relentless like some people I know."
The fish gave her a glare but did not say a word.
"I'm moving forward now—don't get in my way."
"You will never make it."
"You guys have been brainwashed and brow beaten by a weed, I for one won't let that happen."
"You will never get past hotland..."
"Then help me—"
"And when you get past that you will be at the castle—you will leave if you are able and then what—what about my people!"
"Your people tried to kill me, as far as I'm concerned they need to stay down here and rot!" she roared. She shook her head regretting it. "The weed wanted me to toss you over the edge in exchange for being able to go home... I told him to screw off..."
"Wha—why?"
"Because he is a liar." Or so she hoped he was. "Help me—gather the rest of them up, together we can figure this out... the weed needs to be taken care of. He is behind all this."
"You ask too much human."
"I only ask that your people start caring and start fighting to get out of the hell you made for yourself."
"You arrogant!" Undyne went to stand but the knife was pointed at her.
"No—you have been taking his crap for years—hundreds if not more—humans for one wouldn't stand for that crap—get up and start fighting."
"Do you really think we haven't tried to kill the weed?" she hissed looking up at the human. "We have—since it showed up to pester Asriel. We have tried to be there to sway the influence he held over Asriel but his soul was so darkened by the pain and hate he felt from his father—from losing his friend he was lost to us. Believe me I have slain the demon several times—or thought I had. But he came back. Why do you think the queen left? Toriel went searching for a way to destroy it—in the ruins. But she never returned."
"Whatever happened it didn't work—it's now time to start looking at other options." She sat down next to the tired fish lady. "As far as I am concerned you have every right to hate humans—hell most humans hate humans."
"Your species is vile—you persecuted us for no reason. Your king thought we were a threat."
"That's the past—all of that was so long ago."
"Not to us it wasn't...you haven't been shun into the darkness you haven't been made to live like a monster."
"No I guess not—so do you want to help me or not?"
"And what do you have planned that we have not tried—that we have not failed at?" she looked at Frisk god smacked what could a human possibly do to save her people—to kill a demon.
"I don't know. I plan on winging it myself." Frisk really didn't have a plan...she hadn't planned on killing Flowey though now she knew she needed to...
"Then you seek death and the death of my people." Undyne stood up. "I will not help you in your folly—I will not idly toss my life aside for your foolish endeavors."
"Fine—then like I told Sans look for an open portal. I don't need your help." She got up dusted off and walked deeper into hotland. Leaving a shocked Fish lady behind she was getting a bit discouraged that no one wanted to step up and help her...that no one cared about their freedom... had he destroyed their free will that badly to prevent them from wanting to stand up and take charge to overthrow an unjust ruler and a tyrannical weed?
hope you liked this chapter more to come I promise :)
