Brianna's POV
"Did you have fun on Saturday?" Mum asked me just as I was about to leave for school.
"Um, yes?"
"Is there something you need to tell me?"
Shit. She knows. "Um, no?"
"You sound unsure."
"Is there something you know?"
She shrugged and started walking away.
"What does that mean?"
"Don't come home at 1:00 in the morning and then hide from me the next day. I don't care if you're with Liam, I do care that you text me to tell me and you sneak out of your room. That seems pretty shady."
"Sorry, it won't happen again."
"Good. You can go now."
I sighed, and quickly walked out the door. The hammering in my heart had finally steadied by the time I got to school, thank god. Ashton and Luke were already standing by mine and Rae's locker when I walked in. Ashton smiled and gave me a hug when I walked up to them.
"So, how did yesterday go?" He asked.
"Fine. I stayed in my room the entire day, and when I was hungry I snuck around like a ninja."
"And that worked?"
"Well, she did catch me before I left this morning..."
"And?"
"And she basically set some rules."
"You got off easy." He laughed.
"What do you mean?"
"Rae is basically forbidden to see Luke for a couple days."
"Why?"
"Because my dad saw him this morning in my room and flipped out. Which is stupid because he was on the floor and I was in bed, obviously there wasn't anything going on." Rae explained.
Luke's cheeks started turning red as I looked at him and laughed. "Seriously? What were you doing in her room?"
"We were just talking and then I fell asleep." Luke said hurriedly.
I laughed again and shook my head. "Come on now, Rae. You think you'd be better at keeping guys a secret."
"Um, no babe, that's you."
I rolled my eyes. "It's both of us."
"True."
"Am I missing something?" Ash asked.
"We've had to hide more than one boyfriend room our parents." I said.
Rae nodded. "But not, like, twenty."
Luke and Ashton both relaxed.
"So you're coming to rehearsal, right?" Luke asked Rae.
"Um..." She grabbed Niall's arm to stop him. "You'll cover for me tonight, right?"
"What's in it for me?"
"I don't know. Whatever you want I guess."
"Even a date?"
"Um... How about a whole day dedicated to just the two of us? But as friends."
"Sure. I'll cover for you."
"Thank you!" She let him walk away and then turned back to Luke. "Yeah, I can come."
He laughed. "I don't know if I like the idea of you two hanging out alone for a day though."
