"Yorriiiii~"
Kofuku greeted Hiyori with a tight hug and tackled her onto the floor as soon as she opened the door. "Yaaahhh, I can't breathe!" she tried to scramble away from her until the pink haired God finally let go.
"Have you seen Yatty yet?" She sat down the table, eating a spoonful of soup Daikoku already prepared for her.
"Huh? Didn't he go straight here?"
"Uhhrmm.. Nowpe."
"Oh.." Hiyori's head dropped down low as she thought about what happened a while ago.
"You're no help Hiyori! You're only making things worse!"
She shook her head, "No... maybe its just from the blight right? Maybe he was just tired... It was my fault after all..." She thought.
"I'm going to go now... Thanks." She stood up, and waved goodbye.

A soft breeze blew into Hiyori's face, making her hair sway. She looked around seeing cherry blossoms bloom around her. Breathing deeply, she tried to think of positive things.
"Yukine had a high score in his honework yesterday..
Daikoku told me a soup recipe..
Kofuku gave me a cute pink ponytail with a pink bow on top..."But its all useless. All she could think about was Yato. A day had passed since the incident with the phantom ant, and she didn't see him since then. He isn't in Kofuku's place, and she's certain he isn't in Bishamon's place either. Now, Hiyori's walking to Lord Tenjin's shrine to ask him about something, and she was secretly hoping she could see Yato there too.
She sighed, "Is Yato really that mad at me?"
A few steps more, The girl heard a familiar voice. She was only a block away from Lord Tenjin's, so it should be coming from there.
"What? Are you serious about this?" The voice said, while another voice she recognized spoke, "But we really need to do it."
Hiyori reached the shrine, and was about to greet them when she saw Tenjin and two boys in front of him, having their backs from her, one wearing a green jacket and the other wearing a black tracksuit.
"It's them!"
"No, we don't! There must me another way," The voice said, it was Yukine, and he was talking to Lord Tenjin. "This is different, Yukine,"
"But we can't just sever our ties with Hiyori,"
Hiyori froze, s-sever.. ties? No. Not again.
"W-what?" She whispered involuntarily, thinking out loud. They all turned to Hiyori, Yukine looked at her with concern on his eyes, and Yato, She thought she saw a sad look, but it was soon replaced with a cold, monotonous expression.
"Hiyori, I need to talk to you." Lord Tenjin spoke up, his face serious and stern.
"Are you going to ask me to cut ties with Yato again?" She walked to them, and in her peripheral vision, she saw Yato look away from her as she does.
"Yes." Lord Tenjin spoke timidly.
"I'm sorry, but I told you before, I won't."
"But this situation is different, Hiyori."
"No."
"It might help you to get your body back to normal, your soul wont separate from it anymore."
"I'm sorry, Lord Tenjin, but I'd rather stay like this than forget Yato and Yukine."
"But this is what Yato wants,"
She froze once again, Yato... wanted to cut ties with her? No. Maybe she heard wrong. That can't be true, Yato's always the one that's so clingy. The last time Lord Tenjin asked them to do this, they both disagreed!
"Y-yato?"
Hiyori turned to him, his gaze avoiding hers. He was looking at the floor, as if he was thinking of something deep.
"Yes.... It's what I want."
"What?!" Yukine and Hiyori said in unison.
"You can't do that Yato. Hiyori's our friend!" Yukine protested, standing by her side.
"Ever since Hiyori joined us on our mission, she screwed everything up. And now when phantoms are chasing after her, cutting ties with her will help her, and us!" Yato reasoned, his voice cold and stiff, but he choked on the words "cutting ties".
This Yato isn't the Yato Hiyori knew. The Yato she knew was playful, childish, and mischievous. How could he say this kind of things when he even begged for Hiyori not to forget her?
"Yato! I know this isn't what you want!" A hundred thoughts and questions came into her mind, and almost all of them were unanswered.
"Maybe Yato just wanted me to be safe?" Yes, maybe that's it. "But all this time, starting when I met Yato and Yukine, I have been put up to a lot of danger. And I know they will always protect me... So why?" She tried to put his excuses to reason, but its no use.
"I want you to sever your ties with me, don't you understand?!"
His harsh words flooded and drowned Hiyori's mind. She never expected he would react like that. Is this for real? Why? Why did Yato suddenly hate her? She was just trying to help.
"B-but Yato..."
"I wanted you forget you even met us because I wish I never did!"
Her eyes widened and tears slowly formed in her eyes. She never knew he was even capable of saying those words.
Yukine stiffened and clenched his fists. He was about to say something and go to Yato, but then, Hiyori held his hand back.
"Is that what you really want Yato? Then fine... Cut them." Hiyori said, her tone no longer fighting and pursuading. She gave up.
"If its what you wanted, its okay." Hiyori shot a smile to Yato and Yukine, her tears falling from her watery eyes.
Yato's expression breifly changed, she could tell that he was shocked by what she did. His eyes shown sadness, yet his action and words shown nothing but coldness.
"Hiyori?! No!" Yukine's eyes started to tear up, he can't believe that after all this, his best friend is agreeing to sever ties with him. She's going to forget everything after that, and Yukine can't bear that fact.
Hiyori only smiled, even though tears were continuously falling from her eyes. She leaned on Yukine's ear, and whispered something. The regalia seemed to be shocked with what she said, his clenched fist was now opened wide, and he stopped sobbing for a minute but ended up crying more.
"Do it Yato." He finally said.
The God of calamity's eyes widened a bit, yet no one seemed to notice. He breathed deeply, closing his eyes for a brief moment. But before he could call for Yukine, Tenjin stopped him.
"Anymore last words to us?"
