The End?

The next day, both divorces were finalized. With signatures from all, it was done. Annabelle left court immediately and was never to be seen again. Tullia and Bash went off to celebrate alone.
Monroe was in her chambers and looked around. This was her new life. She was so lucky!
Monroe heard footsteps out in the hall. She left her room and found Regina and Adler discussing her new estate.
"It isn't too far away, but not too close. You will have your own servants and space where you will live comfortably. There is a room for your painting and a room for your music. I hope you will be happy." Adler explained.
"I hope so too, and I also hope that you could make some excuse to send me some handsome rich nobles now and again for my own personal inspection." Regina smirked.
"I'll try my best." Adler leaned forward and kissed Regina's cheek. "But please, don't be too much of a stranger. You are forever my friend." He added.
Adler turned around and pulled Monroe back into her chambers.
Regina had all her things packed into two carriages. A few guards were to go with her and stay at her new estate as protection. She took one last look at the castle and then stepped up into the carriage.
"Wait!" Monroe shouted after her.
She ran up to the carriage. Regina got back down and smiled.
"I just..." Monroe stuttered. "I wanted to thank you. I know that you don't like me, but that didn't stop you from letting this happen. No matter how you felt about Adler and your marriage, he was still your husband and I still took him from you. For that, I am sorry." Monroe bowed her head down.
Regina couldn't help but chuckled. "I should be thanking you, Monroe." Monroe lifted her head in confusion. "Yes, I was angry at first, anyone would be." Regina explained. "But you helped me realize that Adler and I were not a good match. I need more, I need a proper love, like the one you two have. You have given me an opportunity that few married woman get to have, especially ones that are married to a Prince." Regina smiled. "And I do like you."
Monroe gasped. "Really?!"
"Yes, and I hope we will be friends, for real this time." Regina moved forward and hugged Monroe.
"I would love that." Monroe replied.
Regina pulled away and backed closer to her carriage. "Good luck on your marriage and I hope that the next time I return that there is a little one running around the castle, for that is the only way for a woman to fully have her position guaranteed." Regina advised in a fearful tone.
She climbed into her carriage. "Goodbye and stay strong." She waved as the carriage pulled away with a smile still on her face.
Regina sat back in her seat and relaxed for the first time in a while. She sighed and mumbled, "Did I really just condemn such an innocent person to that fate?" She felt guilty as she drifted into an uneasy nap.

Epilogue

Tullia and Sebastian were married on November 26. They had a small but beautiful ceremony. The couple stayed at court until Adler and Monroe were married two days later. Then both couples left on the same day for their honeymoon tours, but went to completely different places at different times. Monroe and Adler's wedding was a larger ceremony with a large party afterwards. It was a gorgeous and perfect night, for for a royal. The Queen even seemed to be warming up to Monroe more than before.
They were the future of Thavalon. But how would that future go? When will Adler become king? How many children will the happy couple have? Will all the nobles support Adler as king even if they opposed his choice? Will they have their happily ever after or is that truest impossible for a royal? Only time can tell.
