Graham refused to even speak to me. No matter how many times I awkwardly cleared my throat, he just kept staring blankly out on to the road.

It was the final straw when he dumbly passed my house.

"Where are we going? My house is behind us," I sneered. "Don't be that petty."

Graham grunted. "We aren't going to your house. We're going to Daniel's."

"Um why? I barely even know that kid. And I'm not really dressed to be around horny seniors." I said, gesturing to my flimsy white tank top and running shorts.

Graham turned right, into the neighborhood that was on the border of the zones of Brentwood and Baylor. "That's where Seth is."

"What?" I cried. "I don't want to be anywhere near Seth! Is this your way of punishing me? God we can talk this out, Graham, don't go tattling on me to my brother."

Graham's jaw tightened. "Seth tracked you down using Find My IPhone when you didn't meet him at ya'll's car to go home," he droned, but the hint of anger and despair in his tone was hard to miss. "So he said to pick you up and bring you here. All the football guys will be there."

"What the hell is this?" I hissed, my spidey senses telling me this whole situation was not a coincidence. I began to jiggle against the door knob, because we were going at a slow enough pace that I could escape, but Graham had most likely anticipated this and the child locks were on.

Graham shook his head. He pulled into a driveway already packed with Jeep's and pickup trucks. "This is a lesson on why not to break the rules."

"You jealous son of a bitch," I snapped. "I thought we were good. We agreed no feelings."

"The hell we didn't!" Graham roared.

I flinched at the sound. He was definitely angry, and jealous, but mostly angry.

Graham softened his voice, noticing my discomfort. "You said we were good," he mumbled. He still would not look at me, which only irritated me more. "Did you lie?"

"I didn't know the question," I shot back. "I thought that was an apology, not a mutual declaration of love."

"I asked if you had feelings for me," he said evenly. "But no need to waste another precious breath now. That scene by the fence gave me all the answer I need."

"You did not put it that bluntly," I grumbled.

He unlocked the car and climbed out, ignoring my response. He then waited by the hood for me to get out.

I eyed him. This seemed like a trap. He had basically admitted it. Probably not a gang bang, more like a verbal beating. Like hell I was going to willingly go through that.

I slowly exited the car. Graham watched and waited for me, probably my escort to the door.

I made one step forward like I was going to be a good, idiotic person and take my lashing, but then I used that step to push off.

I made a run for it.

I sprinted as hard and as fast as I could. I was just as fast as Graham. The problem was that I didn't know where I was going and this neighborhood was where all the football players lived. Graham knew every shortcut there was and would be.

But that didn't mean I couldn't try. In all honesty my situation wasn't going to get any worse. That was like saying you could save the house by setting another part of it on fire.

"Alexa!" Graham bellowed. I could hear him swear and chuck the keys in the grass to take off after me.

I pumped my arms fast. My aim was to have enough momentum to cleanly jump the upcoming fence. I could hear the road from there. I would be in public territory after that with my house just a half of a mile down the road. There's no way he would try anything with so many people going up and down that street.
