"Is it done?" Adler asked Sebastian as the council members were filing into the King's office the next day for the vote.
"Yes. My father is with you. Can you get the divorce?" Bash asked.
"Yes. We will both get what and who we want. Happiness is sure to come to us my friend." Adler hit Bash on the back of his shoulders. "I think we should do celebratory drinks tonight, you, me, and Tristan." Adler proposed.
"Of course." Sebastian smiled.
Regina entered the courtroom and stood next to the gentleman.
"I have been looking forward to this day for a long time." She smiled. "I hope that you won't forget me completely, though."
"Of course not. I thank you for your cooperation and I will assure your freedom and security." Adler nodded.
Regina smiled. "This is more exciting than I thought it would be."
Monroe entered the room next and joined them. Tullia followed behind her.
"I know what you mean." Monroe smiled at them all. "This is very exciting and will change our lives."
They waiting for the council meeting to end. The doors opened and the nobles all flooded out. They bowed their heads to Adler as they walked past. A fair few avoided eye contact, but other smiled to show promise to the vote passing.
The King then exited his office and sat on his throne.
"Son, the council has voted for your divorce. The papers will be drawn up and then you can do what you wish with Regina." The King said.
"Thank you, Father. I already have plans made. Regina is to be..."
"I don't care, just do what you want." The King interrupted his son.
Regina rolled her eyes. "I'm going to finish packing and I'll be going by tomorrow. It will take severe circumstances to get me to return to court. Have a nice life, your majesty." She curtsied and left the room.
"Father, I am also here to plea on Lord Sebastian Orvar's behave. His father, one of your council members signed this agreement yesterday," Adler showed the paper to his father, "which says that 'he is allowing his son to get s divorce from his current wife the Lady Annabelle Dior.' Bash believes that his wife may have committed adultery against him and he claims her to be a cruel woman. His father agrees with the divorce." Adler explained.
"I know the Dior family." The King stroked his beard. "I don't like them. I have known of the rudest and cruelty for sometime now."
"Majesty," Bash stepped closer, "my father was in debt to the Dior family after his lands fell barren a few years ago. The marriage was a way to fill the debt. He is offering the Dior's the money they are owed."
The King waved at Adler to have him come closer. The King read the signed paper.
"Alright, I will allow this." He concluded.
"Thank you, your majesty." Bash bowed.
"I have two divorces to sign off on now. And I'm going to guess two wedding as well. Don't get used to this, all of you. It is very rare that people, especially royals, get what they desire. Don't let it get to your heads." The King warned.
He waved to the door and dismissed them.
Tullia and Monroe curtsied to their King and left the room with Bash and Adler behind them.
Once in the hall, they embraced their true loves and cheered with joy. It was done! How they managed it, they weren't really sure, but they did get what they wanted. They all just hoped that it wouldn't come back to bite them.
