Alex's POV

I didn't understand why she looked at us with so much hatred in her eyes.

I loved her and she knew it, she was my sister. She used to smile every time she saw me or in fact Ethan or Cameron. The day she left us, Ethan stopped smiling, Cameron still cracked jokes but he was never the same, as for me... I didn't speak a word for exactly three months.

We never expected to see her again here, not under these circumstances or the way she reacted to seeing us. 6 months ago our parents died, Ethan's and Cameron's too.

That was the day I saw Ethan completely loose control and I hoped I would never need to see whatever happened that day again. He never believed in a higher power anymore, not after Ally left us and especially not after his parents were taken away.

Cameron? He stopped smiling or making jokes for two months straight. After two months he finally began to revert to his old self but anybody who knew him before would know that it was a facade.

A facade to keep us all from crumbling down.

As for me? I went on a killing spree. Tracked down each and every one of the gangs that allied against us and killed them.

We all thought Ally had died 5 years ago but we saw her yesterday. Why did she resent us so much then? Would it be weird to say that I had a bottle of Cheval Blanc in my bag and it was also my favourite wine too?

It was in the morning, after breakfast. Ally didn't come for breakfast as I saw Dominic taking a plate of food for her, he sent me a glance that told me to take ahold of my chance before leaving.

Now I looked at her from afar, two flutes of wine in my hands, filled with Cheval Blanc. The two of us were on the beach that was on the island, she was admiring the sea, while I on the other hand was looking at how old my Sister had gotten. She then turned her head in my directions, her eyes cold and hard unlike what they had used to be.

"I know you're here." She merely stated. I stepped out of my hiding spot and offered her a smile which she did not return. She turned on her heels but before she left I said,

"How much time will a glass of Cheval Blanc buy?" She stopped in her tracks and glanced over her shoulders, looking at the flute I held.

"5 minutes." She answered before stepping to me and taking a glass from my hand. It didn't escape my notice as to how she avoided my fingers while taking the glass, "you better start now."

"Why do you hate me?" I blurted out, "Or in fact any of us? Ethan and Cameron too."

She let out a dark laugh and took a swig of her wine before looking at me straight in The Eye.

"You honestly don't know?" She asked a little bit sarcastically. I just shook my head causing her to sigh. She then broke eye contact and gazed at the sea, as if seeing something I could not, like there was someone or something there.

"Once upon a time," she started, taking another sip of wine, "three people made a promise to someone. Her three very best friends. One a Brother by blood, the other two Brothers by heart. They promised that they would come back for her after 2 months."

"They never did."

She took another swig of her wine relishing the taste, closing her eyes again, "They left her there at the mercy of a Monster. She still held hope though, even if it faded away a little teensy bit every single day. She believed her family would come back for her and you know why?" This time she let out a hoarse broken laugh although it didn't hold any emotion except bitterness, hatred and sorrow.
