grabbing james' hands, you look into his eyes and plead, "please don't do this. listen to me. we can run before they catch us." james moves his hands away from your grip and shakes his head.
"(y/n), i need to tell you something. i love you," you shake your head this time and wipe the tears from your cheek. james picks up the rifle, which he previously dropped and continues talking. "please let me protect you this time for once. we will see each other again."
the police finally arrive from the beach and you feel a strong pair of hands pick you up from the floor. james quickly runs down the beach away from everyone and you scream his name, as shots are fired.
"james, i love you too!" you shout as loudly as you can, hoping james hears you.
