Arita POV:

It's dark. And my head is pounding. I can feel an itch in my lungs and I cough when it gets worse. I push myself up, the clattering of chains echoing around the room. I cough again as my movement sends more dust into the air. I look around wearily, my adjusting to the dim lighting. I lone bulb hangs from the gray ceiling, illuminating the gloomy room. There's not much in the way of furnishing. A clean bucket sits in a corner and a tattered blanket I suppose is my bed. The bars in front of me are metal, probably steel, and slightly rusted. They don't know that I'm not human.

That gives me an inkling of hope. Soon, I'll be out of me. Once I figure out where it is I am and where Zander is. I stand, my head almost grazing the ceiling. Either I had gotten taller or this dungeon was tiny. Most likely both. I looked through the bars and shook them. They rattled furiously.

"Hello," I called, "Is anyone here?"

"Girl," suddenly called from the other side of me. I turned, my eyes widening as I saw a darkened figure walking up to the side of my dungeon. I walked to the side, the man in front of me becoming more clear. He was old, that was clear. His chin covered in gray hair. His irises were an inky black and his face showed signs of handsomeness in youth. Around 50 maybe?

"Who are you," I asked. He smiled a little.

"My name is Vance. Everit Vance. I am a Seer." I grinned.

"Those exist too?"

"I'm afraid so. You're a human then," he cocks his head to the side, observing her, "No. You're a wolf too." His eyes widen then. His voice is a hushed whisper. "The Moon Gift?"

I nod, "I'm afraid so."

"I suppose those dense Rogues don't know."

"Nope."

"You can trust me, you know. I was once a part of Zander's pack."

I gasped, "How did you know that? Can you see him in my future?"

He chuckled. "I'm not that kind of Seer, Luna. I see qualities. Definite things about people. The future is never definite. I can see, that Zander is your mate. And that you worry about him now."

"How can I trust you?"

"When Zander was a child he would carry around a stuffed bear named Charlie Pufflekins. He loved all the animals of the woods."

I laugh at the image of a small Zander dragging a pink bear behind him and talking to deer. "Well, that totally clears everything up."

He smiles again, "Don't worry Luna. I will protect you with my life. For my Alpha. I owe him my life."

Dreven POV:

"Alpha."

"What," he snaps. The man shrinks away. He grins. He loves feeling this power. And any other day he would've taught the wolf a lesson. But today he knew he had Alpha Zander and his Luna locked up under him. Below him.

"Sir, the pack is a bit restless. They want to see a fight but no one wishes to challenge Amell."

"Then find someone who will."

"But no one..."

He smirks as an idea reveals itself. "Go to the dungeons. Tell Beta Mazus that Amell's new contender will be our beloved Alpha Zander." He turns to look out his window as the wolf scurries out of the room. His plan was coming together nicely. The power was his. Soon, he could dispose of Zander, but until then he'd make use of him.

Zander POV:

At least she was safe. That's all I needed to know. Though I would give anything to see her again. I only needed to wait six months. Until she was strong enough to free me. And then I could challenge Dreven without fear. But six months without her in this torturous place felt like an eternity.
