Elsea's p.o.v

"So, how did you get this job Ezra? I don't think I've seen you before" I ask him when we sit down at a table, we're at this cute little cafe downtown.

"I've been an influencer on Instagram for a while and I was lucky enough to get noticed" so he's already in the public eye? How can I not have seen him before...

"But where are you from?"

"Originally I'm from San Diego, but I moved here when I was 10" then I realized that I have no idea how old he is, he might be to old for me anyways. Not that I want anything with him...

"Cool, if you were ten when you moved here, you have to be...?" I ask while sipping my milkshake, waiting for him to continue the sentence.

"18. And from what I've heard, you're 16" alright, 18. That's not too bad.

"That's correct. I'm still in my best years" I joke and he laughs.

"And you're saying that I'm not?" He smirks and I pretend to think.

"Nah, you're old buddy"

"This was fun, lets do it again sometime" I say when we walk to my car together.

"You won't get rid of me that easy missy. Can you please give me a ride home?" He ask with his puppy eyes and I cross my arms over my chest.

"You're lucky, because I'm feeling generous today. Hop in" I walk over to the drivers side while he gets in the passenger seat.

One thing I've realized over this meeting is that I'm not attracted to Ezra, like at all. He seems like a really good friend though, but he's really not my type in boyfriends. I don't know why, but I just don't feel anything.

"Elsea, be honest with me. Are you sure you have a license? Because you drive like a maniac" Ezra says while holding on to the chair and I laugh.

"Hey! I'm not a bad driver, dad taught me everything I know"

"Yeah because he's known for being such a good driver" he jokes and I shoot him a quick glance before looking back at the road.

"Maybe he's not, but I'm an excellent driver"

"I beg the differ" he says and I steer the car just a little bit to the side to throw him off a bit "Elsea!" He exclaims and I laugh.

"I'm just messing with ya, chill dude"

I still don't feel anything towards him, which is weird since I really thought I would when I first saw him in the office.
He's nice and all, but he's more friend material. I'll definitely keep seeing him outside work, he's chill.

"Hey Els hold up, this is my place" he says as we pass a house and I quickly stop the car. The house is smaller than mine, but it's beautiful. It looks a bit older, and I bet it's awesome inside.

"Thank you for the ride, I owe you one. I'll see you around"

And with that he's out of the car. I wave to him as he walks up to his house before I drive away towards my house, which should take about 30 minutes if the traffic is on my side. And that leaves me with plenty of time to think, great.

I'm actually really excited to see where this friendship will lead me. I'm also very excited to see how it will be like to work with another model, since I've never really done that before. It will probably help that we're friends, but I'll have to talk to dad about how to work with another model. I know he'll help me, he loves to help me get better.

But I think it's better this way, it's hard to work as close together as we will and be a couple. It's better to just stay friends.

One thousand thoughts later, I'm pulling up at our house. I see a stumbling Esther coming for me as soon as I open the door.

"There's my little baby" I put her on my hip and give her a kiss while she giggles. I walk in to the house and say hi to the others.

"How was your day honey?" Mom asks me when I'm in the kitchen, she's doing homework with Wayde while dad is cooking.

"It was awesome, I got a new coworker today" I smile while sitting down at the table with the others, playing with Esther in my lap.

"And what does that mean?" Dad smirks before turning back to the stove.

"That means that I'll be working very much with my new friend Ezra. Benefit needed something new so they threw the two of us in the mix" I say and steal one of Wayde's crackers, but he doesn't seem to mind since he's too into his math problem.

"Oh so I guess that's why you are home this late" mom giggles and I give her a look, it's not even late. It's 6pm.

"We went for a milkshake and now I'm here, nothing more" I explain and mom laughs.

"Sure honey" mom says and I gasp, and then stand up.

"Come on Esther, we don't have time for these losers"
