Because the tributes were already in ranks the private training day was used for the public. The whole day I trained with Henry and Tessa. Then the next day, the interview slammed up in my face rudely.

"Now spin" Enobaria ordered as I spun around in the prep dress until I knocked over a lamp.

I sighed sitting down, "What's the point, their gonna hate me anyway".

Enobaria leaned forward, "They didn't hate you at the parade? You won them over Katniss Everdeen, Alice. They'll like you today, that is if you stop acting like a dead snail".

I rolled my eyes and stood up again stomping up and down the hallway in what Enobaria called a "Model's Walk". I was finally spared when Angela called me to get my makeover done. The prep team put on simple black eyeliner and applied a rose red color lipstick to my lips. My hair was kept down with a fancy twist at the top which was completed with a puff of silver dust casually sprayed on. While every other makeup was relatively simple the fancy design on my nails was anything but that. The base color being shiny black was then coated with a layer of diamond rhinestones and silver dust. The pattern on every nail was different but symmetrical on both hands. Finally, I was ready to see my dress.

"Keep your eyes closed" Angela whispered as she steered me through the hallways. Finally, I was stopped and Angela left my side most likely to get my dress. "Arms out!" Angela instructed and my arms branched out as if I was trying to take flight. I felt a heavy cool material slip over my head and then the weight drop on my shoulders. "Open" Angela whispered and I gasped at the sparkling silver material before me. The dress started as a black silk material at the top covered in sparkling black diamonds and gradually changed to a silver silk dress that flowed perfectly around my ankle. Before my feet was a set of black shiny heels that I stepped into, the soft texture was like wearing a pillow.

"Thank you," I said to Angela unable to express my thanks.

"Oh! One more thing!" Angela squeaked before leaving the room to retrieve something from the designing room. She came back with the same black rose I wore at the parade except for this time it was a pin without a clasp. Angela slipped it into the fancy knot on my hair and smiled when she leaned back. "You look ready," she said pridefully.

"You look, great sweetie," Enobaria said and I twirled around to see my mentor smiling at me. "Come on, we have to go to the waiting room, interview starts soon and your second. Also, thank you so much for your hard work Angela" Enobaria said inclining her head at Angela who bowed modestly. Enobaria steered me out of the room and through the hallway to Jake's room. She knocked on the door impatiently and there was a scrambling sound before Jake opened the door wearing a fancy black glossy suit with a silver silk tie. His chestnut brown hair was styled with silver dust and gel making him look even more attractive.

"Oh my god! You look -stunning!" Jake stuttered and I blushed causing Enobaria to roll her eyes.

"Let's go kids!" she said a bit forcefully dragging us both down the hallway. "Ok, I expect the best of you two up on the stage, you both look amazing, now all you have to do is sound just as well," Enobaria said before leaving us at the prep room. I saw Rebecca in her sparkly rose gold gown that sparkled so bright it was blinding. Tessa in her pretty white dress waved at me smiling and I smiled waving back.

"Right! I had something to tell you!" Jake said smiling, "I've decided that we should ally with my brother and Rebecca!". All of my happiness drained and my brain stopped working making me take a few seconds to process the words.

"What?" I spat out in disbelief, "You want to ally with those two... those arrogant big heads?" I snapped.

Jake blinked a few times, "Yeah, that's who I want to ally with. I thought you would agree. Jeez, you seriously overreact way to much Alice".

I snorted drawing attention from the rest of the tributes, "Agree? I freaking disapprove! In fact, I hate this stinking plan! What were you thinking? Ally with those retards?" I shouted.

"HEY!" Jake yelled with surprising force, "Don't call my brother that!" he hissed. I yanked free from his grasp unable to believe this was the same Jake I had talked to only 2 days ago; the same Jake who complimented me not even 5 minutes ago.

"Who you calling a retard?" a sneering feminine voice said behind my back. And I turned facing Rebecca and glared into her face before shoving her against the wall and storming across the room to Tessa and Henry. Jake, Brian, and Rebecca followed pushing past the other tributes who were watching the Jake and Alice show intently.

"Alice, you're kidding me. Those two can't protect you in the arena!" Jake said.

"Neither can you!" I shot back, "You wouldn't last one minute in the arena without hiding behind your big brother's back" I snapped.

"Ohhhhhhhhh!" the whole room chorused making Jake beet red in the face.

"Oh, so this is how you want to play it? It is on Alice Snow, you better watch your back because you'll be the first one I get!" Jake threatened.

"Oh after you've learned how to kill an ant you can say that to me again" I snapped and this time Rebecca had to hold Jake back from pouncing on me. Jake stormed across the room and sat down in a chair between Rebecca and Jake with so much force the chair shook violently. The whole time we were waiting for Jake was shooting me death glares from across the room. While Jake was having trouble containing his anger I was struggling to not cry. The fight hadn't made me feel stronger, instead, it felt like a hard blow to my chest that broke through my ribs and hit me straight in the heart. A damage that couldn't be repaired.
