Two-The Walk

                                    

                                          
Lin's POV
Once me and Jane started to walk I found out a lot about her. For example she was orphaned when she was only four years old and from there she hasn't had the best luck with foster families.
"So tell me about you" she suddenly asks me turning my attention towards her as I tell her about myself.
"Well, I have a wife and a son that just turned two years old, um I work at the Richard Rogers theater. I wrote a musical that I star in and I love it." I tell her because I am surprised that she didn't fangirl over me being the composer and star of Hamilton.
"Oh really, what is this musicals name?" She asks me snapping my out of my thoughts 
"Um, if you have heard of it do you promise not to fangirl?" I ask her hopeful 
"Sure, I will try to contain my excitement if I have heard of this musical" she says which lifts a weight off my shoulders a little bit.
"Okay, so the musical is called Hamilton" I say and notice she stopped right where she was with a wide grin on her face (if you didn't already notice they are walking) "Okay I can see that you are going to explode if I don't lay you fangirl so...go for it" I say regretting my decision already.
"OMG, I THOUGHT YOU LOOKED FAMILIAR," she suddenly screams 
"Okay, you good now?"I ask her trying to get her to snap back into reality.
"Yeah, sorry I just had to get that out because Hamilton is the only thing that actually kept me sane during hard times" she says as it suddenly gets more personal when she talks me more about her old foster families.
"Aw, I am sorry Jane but none of that matters now because I am here to rescue you" I say as I strike a hero pose that she laughs at "wow I don't think I have ever seen you smile before glad you thought that was funny" I say to her and suddenly she stops laughing and her face goes white. "Hey what happened we were having fun?" I ask her as she just stands frozen in place staring at a figure across from her a few hundred feet away from us. "Jane? Sweetie who is that?" 
I ask her and she manages to say "My old foster dad, he was the worst one the one I ran away from" she tells me, and he clearly hasn't seen her yet so I gently grab her arm, and I duck into an abandoned alleyway just as he walks by. As he leaves he hasn't seen us because I checked again to be sure, 
"the coast is clear" I tell her as she steps onto the street 
"Thank you Lin," she says as she hugs me as I hug her back I say 
"No problem kiddo," I tell her and she smile again "Hey, there it is!" I say happy again
"What it there?" She asks clearly confused. "Your smile!" I say and she looks relieved. " we're here Jane" I tell her and she looks happy 'I like seeing her happy' I think to myself.
