The long week, seemed more like a year with no hope and light, just loneliness and darkness.
As the breezy air hit her face she stood still asking herself if she had really made the right decision.
Controlling her breathing as she looked out in front of her as soon as she closes her eyes the first person that comes to her mind is Nick...
His perfect face the way it would become so happy that even his eyes would twinkle every time he would look upon her, the memories coming just like a dream to her like they do every night.
The memory of being kidnapped even though she didn't know it was him at the time, his voice was the reason she didn't go crazy and he protected her when he didn't have too...even then he cared.
His beautiful comforting words, that night of their first date at the park after she told him about her mom the tulip that she still has even though its dried up but the beauty behind it keeps it alive.
The carnival, the stuffed animal, his nerves that always get the best of him when his around her like a little boy...that made her smile thinking about it.
The way he held her the sparks that always fly whenever they kiss or just touched the security she feels in his warm embrace, the feeling she got when he told her he loved her for the first time.
But the most beautiful memory, that just thinking about it give her tingles all over her body, when they made love, the way they gave each other everything they had to give because nothing can compare to the way they both feel for one another.
She wiped the tears that manage to escape as she reminisce through their love story, all those beautiful moments and feelings are capable of erasing the bad ones, it didn't have to end....like he said start fresh, a blank piece of paper to write a new charter.
Love isn't supposed to be a battlefield, sometimes in life second chances turn out better than the first.
With a soft knock she inhaled the aroma around her; everything seemed to slow down as her gaze followed the many people walking around her, for the first time in a while she was nervous about the position she put herself in. It didn't help that her hands trembled at the possibilities of this going wrong, she honestly did not know what to expect; would she walk away crying or would she wake up thinking it was all a dream, either way she was about to find out.
She knocked one more time; shaking at the thought of facing something she wasn't prepared for, "come on..." she whispered while holding on to her purse tightly as her fear was slowly taking over her mind and conscious. Was she too late? Did love already give up on her? The answers seemed distant as her lips started to tremble from the disappointment and sadness washing over her body.
Her eyes blinked rapidly, hoping to see the door fly open; she sighed deeply while gazing at the brown frame one last time, not on single movement was made. With her head down low and her eyes hiding from the stares she turned around to find his perfectly sculptured body right in front of her.
They stood there in perfect silence, sharing a memory that at one point seemed impossible.
And with one glance at his hazel eyes and confused gaze, she simply shrugged her shoulders as a perfectly loving smile appeared on his angelic face; "what can I say that dam cheesy tulip story got me" she joked as a few tears escaped from her eyes.
"Yeah that was my plan all along" walking closer to her "it helped me steal your heart" finally taking her into his embrace.
This was the beginning that both their hearts longed for; this was the moment that marked many memories to come.
Nick and Selena have finally found someone worth risking everything for.
