Chloe's pov
A luna.. a damn luna.. i have no fucking experience to be a luna. Great just what people need is a girl who barley knows what a damn pack is about..
I walked outside and i walked into the woods. i needed to get my mind off of this.
''Chloe?'' i heard i turned around and i saw aiden. Just my luck.
''what aiden we fought enough yesterday what could you possibly want.'' i said
''i wanted to say sorry'' he said and i looked at him confused.
''i know your confused but just hear me out.'' he said and i nodded
''you remind me so much of emma'' he said
''she was my best friend.. she was everyones best friend and everyone loved her'' he said
''the day she died i saw it happen right in front of me..'' he said
''henry never told me exactly what happened so..'' i said
He was hesitate to tell me but he did because i could tell he never told anyone or opened up to anyone.
''it was my birthday..everyone was on their way to green stone because i wanted my birthday there it was closer thats where everyone else was so we decided to go there. Henry took austin, ava, alex, amanda, andrew, and me to go do laser tag first it was a part of my day emma was with her mom setting up i wanted her to come but she said that she wanted it to be the perfect party for me so i let her because once she made up her mind it was impossible to change it'' he said
''wait who is alex, amanda, and andrew?'' i said
''austins siblings'' he said and i nodded
''anyways when we were playing laser tag i had this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach i told austin and he said it could be all the burgers we had just had before playing so i ignored it when we were heading back we saw a huge black cloud thats when we knew my gut feeling was real.. when we got there it was an out of control fire no one attacked it was just a huge fire.. it was their pack house that was on fire. When we got to the pack house emma was rescuing people getting them to safety. This lady was yelling that her pups were in there so emma rushed in and i went after her so did evie'' he said
FLASHBACK
''aiden you get the little one and go im going to make sure there is no one else'' emma yelled
''are you sure!'' evie yelled
''yes mom dont worry!'' emma yelled
''Alright lets go!'' i told evie we ran out and got the pups to their mom and we waited.
After five minutes there was no sign of emma and henry and evie were going insane evie sprinted in before we could hold her back but we got henry before he could run in too..
Then the house came down and everyone gasped and i screamed while henry went crazy.
''EMMA!'' i yelled austin grabbed me and held me down and i screamed and cried at the same time..
''AIDEN CALM DOWN'' austin yelled
''EMMA IS IN THERE SO IS EVIE I CANT CALM DOWN!'' i yelled
''THEY ARE GONE'' austin yelled and i just cried as he held me in his arms..
FLASHBACK OVER
''aiden..'' i said and i hugged him and he cried on my shoulder.
''she would be 22 today if she was still here'' he said and sobbed and i rubbed his back.. i felt horrible..
''im so sorry. there is no way i would want to replace her aiden i never intended to'' i said
''i know i just i was angry and i never gave you a chance'' he said
''hey all friendships start somewhere right'' i said and he chuckled
''we have both been through life changing experiences aiden it changes us in good and bad ways but my grandma told me never to give up in her last words that is what she told me..you shouldnt give up on having friends and opening up to people because your scared of losing them'' i said
''look'' i said and i lifted up my shirt and showed him my back.
''what happened.'' he said
''abusive husband'' i said and i put my shirt down.
''thats why im here though if i never met him and never went through what i went through aiden i would not have amazing friends now i wouldnt have people i call family. My parents died when i was five aiden my mom died right in front of me rogues killed her and the same rogues turned me into this and henry killed them'' i said
''wow'' he said
''see we both havent had a perfect life'' i said
''im sorry you went through that'' he said
''its okay'' i said
''no its not the things i said about your grandma.. it was unforgivable'' he said
''i forgive you aiden plus i took some good chunks of skin from you so im pretty sure all is forgiven'' i said and laughed
''why are you so nice'' he said
''no one deserves to be treated like shit even if they deserve it because you never know what they have been through'' i said and he smiled
''your gonna be a great luna'' he said
''i dont know about that'' i said and sighed
''why'' he said
''because i know nothing about being a luna aiden'' i said
''bullshit'' he said and i looked at him
''the guy you saved was like family to you and you would go to the ends of the earth to make sure he is okay right'' i said and i nodded
''and you would do the same for us right'' i said and i nodded
''thats what a luna does they protect their pack with their last living breath and they never give up they make sure that everyone is okay before she worries about herself a luna is honest strong and brave and has good confidence she makes sure everyone stays in line'' he said
''a pack is just one big family that the luna and alpha take care of'' aiden said
''what if i cant do it'' i said
''hey there is no what if chloe you can do it'' he said
''i know you can'' he said and i smiled and he gave me a hug.
''come on lets go back before everyone starts getting worried'' i said and he nodded and we walked back.
