Relief

                                    

                                          
Sesshomaru got up, leaving me where I was. He brushed the light dirt off of his body and walked off.
"Where are you going?" I say as I try to make my way back to the tree.
"To go get Rin from the lake, she's been there for quite a while and you'll be needing Ah'Un to carry you there." He replies.
"Can't you carry me there?"
"It's easier to take Ah'Un, that way I wouldn't have to stay there with you while you bathe."
"Oh, well okay. That makes sense. Unless, maybe..."
"What?"
"You could bathe with me?" I say suggestively.
"I can assure you, that is a terrible idea." 
"Fine." I say defeated.
I sat at the tree for a while until I lost track of time and Sesshomaru came back with everyone.
"Lady (y/n)! You're awake!" Rin called out as she ran over to me.
"Rin!" I say gently with a smile. 
"I'm going to get firewood it's getting dark," Sesshomaru butted in.
"I haven't seen you in so long! I thought you would never come back!" Rin says as she hugs me tight. I ignore the pain for her sake.
"I could never leave you or Sesshomaru, not ever." I say seriously.
"Good, we missed you so much! Especially Lord Sesshomaru, he was really sad when you were gone."
"He was?"
"Yeah, he was really mean and almost never talked. Whenever I asked him about you he got really sad or mad."
"Well I'm glad I'm back then." Rin giggled and released me from her extremely tight hug.
"Why don't you go catch up with Sesshomaru and tell him that I'm taking Ah'Un to the lake."
"Okay!" Rin said as she ran to Sesshomaru's distant figure.
I got on my feet somehow without crying. My leg hurt so damn bad. I called out to Ah'Un, gesturing him to come closer. Nearly all of my weight was being held up by the tree I was leaning on. When Ah'Un was close enough, I shifted my weight onto him.
"Come on buddy, can you lay down so I can get on." I asked. He got down low enough for me to ungracefully swing my injured leg over him. 
"Jaken, you are awfully quiet." I say just now realizing that he was here.
"Yes Lady (y/n), Lord Sesshomaru was very specific when he tasked me with watching over you while he was gone." He says
"Well why don't you stay here and guard our stuff."
"I was told to watch over you, and I don't take orders from you. Only Lord Sesshomaru-"
"Jaken, stay here." I say calmly.
I took off and went to the lake to bathe.

I walked with Rin to get wood for the fire. The sky was an elegant, ever darkening purple color and the stars were just peaking through. We wandered around aimlessly collecting wood until I noticed the lake in the distance through the trees. I walked closer to the lake and saw (y/n) in the distance bathing. She ran he delicate fingers through her hair as it cascaded down her back. She was sitting in somewhat shallow water close to shore, but the water still just barely came up to her lower back. She got up with the assistance of Ah'Un and went deeper into the water. As she turned forwards I could see even more of her. It was an unnatural invasion of privacy. A demon and a human? I felt wrong, but I couldn't stop. I knew that I shouldn't want her, I know that I shouldn't want a human. But I do, and I don't know how to control it. 
I turned away and went back to the camp with what wood I had already gathered.

Ah'Un carried me back to the camp where I saw that Sesshomaru was sitting by the fire he had made. 
"Sesshomaru, can you help me get off?" I asked. I know I could have managed to get off on my own, but I was tired and lazy. He looked up at me and got up to help. I said a quiet "Thanks." He picked me up stiffly as if he were touching something that was about to break. I gave him a confused look, not that he picked up on it. He put me down by the fire and sat next to me. He was an awkward distance away from me, it was quite odd. 
Rin had fallen asleep and the only ones awake were Sesshomaru and I, still sitting by the fire.
"Why don't you sit a little bit closer?" I asked hoping he would and that nothing was wrong.
" I'm fine here, thank you" he said softly.
I looked back to the fire and sat silently for a minute. The silence was unbearable, so I decided to be upfront about this obvious problem.
"What's wrong?" I asked abruptly.
"What do you mean?" He replied.
"You've been acting weird ever since I returned from the lake,"
"I'm sure that I have no clue what you are talking about,"
"You're an awful liar, I know you're hiding something"
"Its nothing,"
"Yes it is, because whatever is bothering you is bothering me and I have no clue what to do about it,"
"I- today, while I was out collecting wood, I- well stumbled across the lake. It just so happened that you-"
"That I was there, and let me guess, you saw me," I cut him off.
"Yeah," he says embarrassed. I looked down awkwardly, then returned my gaze to the fire. The moment of silence was excruciatingly uncomfortable. I had to find something to say.
"Hey, it's fine, I don't care," I say as I lean over to him and put my hand on his.
"But you don't get it, it's not okay," he turns away from me and takes his hand away from mine.
"It's not even a big deal, ,"
"Its not that I saw you, it's just how it made me feel." He got up and walked closer to the fire with his back turned to me. I painfully got up and stood behind him, putting weight on him to make it easier for me to stand.

                          
"It really doesn't matter you know, I'm fine with it," I said suggestively running my hand over his shoulder and down his chest.
                          
"Of course you couldn't understand," He brushed my hands away and walked off. The sudden loss of support made me wobble.

                          
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean, huh? And where the hell are you going?" I said really pissed off.
                          
I swallowed my pain and tried to walk after him, but before I had even taken two steps I heard rustling in the bushes and then- blackness.
