Ryan"I am a mother first before a banker."
Ana resigned from the bank the moment she got positive results on her pregnancy test. She gave a 30-day notice before the effectivity date of her resignation.
"I was supposed to tell you, but I was experiencing implantation bleeding. So I was not sure if I'm really pregnant." Ana began to explain. "When I got the confirmation through a serum test, on that same day when I collapsed with nausea, I only have two more weeks to stay with the bank. But unknown to you, I was already on terminal leave at that time, I only go to the bank for turnovers which I did at my own pace. I was just sitting the whole time."
"No wonder you didn't mind coming to the office late."
"I've booked a room in a nearby hotel for two weeks, under Pamela's name." She giggled. "Fred thought I was in the office, but I'm using the back door to sneak in to the hotel to sleep the whole afternoon."
"When they brought me to Doc Patty when I collapsed, I told her I am pregnant and asked her to keep her silence about it. That's why she had me on serum test. Good thing you did not call her then."
"I did not tell you about the pregnancy right away because I wanna make sure that everything's okay." She continued.
"Babe, you could have told me. We are in this together."
"I just told you now, didn't I?" She raised her brows that made Ryan concede with his wife's decisions. What's important is she's back in his arms... for good. No job and nothing else to fret about but him and their growing baby inside her tummy.

Two years after...
"Mom! Wake up. Get up now pyeas..." the little tot began pulling Ana's arms. She still can't pronounce clearly the words with letter L on it. "Dada, tell Momma to get up pyeas." The little girl headed towards him on the couch where he was reviewing some documents.
Ana turned but did not open her eyes. She was now lying facing up. "Andrea, Mom's too tired and sleepy. Go bother your dad. I'll make it up to you later, honey." She groaned.
"Ana... babe, you've been lying on the bed the whole day." He stood up and went beside the bed looking down at his wife. She opened her eyes and sent him a dagger look.
"Oh like I've said, come on Andrea, let Momma sleep for a while. She's tired." He took his daughter's small hand and led her out of the room.
He was just about to close the door when he heard Ana throwing up inside. "Tina!" He called the Andrea's nanny, and the latter came rushing. "Watch Andrea please." And he turned to his daughter. "Baby, go with Nanny Tina first. Momma's not feeling well." And he rushed back in. "Ana?"
He found her sitting on the side of the tub with her hands holding on it on the edge. "Baby, what's wrong?" Then she stood up and leaned on the sink again to throw up. He gathered her hair that were hanging in front of her face and rubbed her back.
He carried her back to the bedroom and laid her on the bed. "I'm calling the doctor."
"No. Get me a pregnancy kit, Ryan."
"Really, babe? Morning sickness in the afternoon? I don't think so." He replied unbelievingly. She looked at him with raised brows. "Okay. I'll be back, babe." With the kind of temper she has now, he realized baby number two is on the way.
