Chapter 8

So lately, I've been hanging out with a magical psycho murderer.

Not how I pictured my life, but whatever.

Peter sat on my bed and was examining some of his scars.

"I jut don't understand." He muttered.

I chose to ignore him because I knew he was talking to himself.

Suddenly, my mom opened the door to my room.
She was carrying a plate with little sandwiches.

"Nothing's going on?" She looked over the room. "Yes okay."

She placed the plate on the bed and left.

I looked at peter. He was smirking. As usual.

"Sooo are your powers coming back?" I asked.

"No. Sierra, this is the 5th time you've asked that question in this hour. So same as before. No."

" well there's not much to talk about,so I thought I would give it a try."

Peter ran a hand through his hair.
"Girls talk too much."

I crossed my arms and turned away from him.

Minuets passed and neither one of us said anything.

"Ok fine. I give up." I said.

He smiled.
"Weak."

"Excuse me?" I demanded.

"Nothing." He responded quietly.

I frowned at him. "Buttface."

Peter laughed. It was a beautiful sound.

I punched his arm softly.

His lip twitched.

" if we were back in my land, I would've killed you for doing that."

I looked at him. Really looked.
It was hard to imagine him as a killer.

"Why? It didn't hurt."

"I don't know, fun?"

"Well, um." There was really no response to this.

" how do you kill them?" I asked.

He gave me a look that said, you ask way to many questions. "I put my hand forward, like this." He extended his hand.

"And the air gets squeezed out if them till they die."

Peter slowly clenched his fist.
Suddenly, a notebook that was on my desk, exploded upward.

All the paper that was in it fell out as it fell towards the ground.

My mouth fell open.

"I didn't mean to do that, I swear," peters voice was stunned.

We sat in stunned silence for a few minuets.

Then a sly smile came onto his face.
"They are returning!"

I nodded. " I can see."

"One step closer to going home." He whispered.

"How will you get home?"

His eyes got dark.

"That's what I have yet to find out."

Peter stood up. "I've got to go research. I'll see you in school tomorrow."

I stood up too.

" good luck."

He smiled, leaned in and kissed me on the forehead.
Then he was gone.

I felt myself smiling.

He hadn't asked me to be his girlfriend. But I felt like I already was.
