I'm not sure what to say to Kael, but he seems finished with the conversation.

I let him walk away, as I notice Alden walk closer. Clearly, he's been listening to our conversation, which doesn't surprise me at all. He's attentive like that, always seeming like he understands what is going on at all times. His expression is solemn as he comes to stand in front of me. I'm assuming I look the exact same as he does, because at least that is how I feel.

"Everything okay with Kael?" he asks, glancing back to where the Alpha of Discipline walks away. "I apologise if this is intrusive, but I've seemed to notice that you two don't have the best relationship."

I sigh deeply, wishing I could clear my head for a moment to make sense of everything. "Just a misunderstanding. I just need time to think about some things."

"I did come over because I wanted to speak to you about your boyfriend," Alden says. I pale as my mind flutters to Cal. Alden knows a lot, but how could he possibly know about the kiss Cal and I shared last night? "Or rather, I thought that I could possibly talk to you about your date to the ball."

Oh. T.

"Right, T," I say carefully, raising my eyebrow at him curiously. "Why's that?"

"I would like to speak to him about something regarding his past, if he wouldn't mind," Alden says, giving none of his intentions away. I freeze under his gaze, realising that the moment Alden see's T again, it may be revealed that I'm keeping him as my prisoner. At this point, the Alpha of Wisdom might already know that.

I try act as indifferent as possible, while appearing mildly curious.

"You know him? I've only known T for a brief time, so I'm sure you must know more about him. If you're willing to come to my Pack, I'm sure T would be happy to speak to you," I say warmly, deflecting the idea of taking T away from my property.

Alden nods, satisfied. "Absolutely. I'll come back with you on Thursday, when the meetings are over."

I smile despite myself. It's inconvenient, but I can't imagine a time any better than now. Soon, I'll have no reason left to keep T at my estate against his will, so if I can find any information out from Alden, then it is an added bonus.

If anyone knows something about me, it's the Alpha of Wisdom.

I've never slept walked in my life. Nor have a I slept walked and been completely aware of what I'm doing.

No sound rouses me from slumber that night, just my own thoughts. My eyes flutter open, my mind taking a few moments to realise I'm not in my own room, but here, where the Alpha meetings take place. I could easily have closed my eyes to not be concerned with waking, however, every muscle of my body seems foreign, as I sit up, somehow against my will.
