After a few hours and the drug had worn off Kurami was finally able to move. Taking the advantage she left the Hideout in search of Itachi. Seeing as she had been gone for some time now Sasuke became furious and restless. Orochimaru was just plain out annoyed. 
                          
Kurami stopped for a rest after days of traveling, deciding to take a break in the land of wind. She jumped to her feet sensing a chakra source walking towards her. She let her guard down though seeing it was Itachi and his partner. He frowned at her. "You're a long ways from Sasuke and Orochimaru. What are you doing here?" She frowned looking at the ground. "I had to get away. Orochimaru kept trying to get to me and Sasuke knows now." Itachi sighed sadly and walked over pulling her into his arms. "I'm sorry I couldn't come to you sooner." Kisame looked at the two curiously. "Itachi. We need to head back. A tailed beast has been captured." Itachi nodded and pulled her to arms distance with his hands on her shoulders. "Come with us Kurami. You can stay in the base with us." She looked at the ground sadly. "Is this right? The right thing to do? Sasuke must be furious with me." He sighed and picked her up into his arms. She began panicking and wrapped her arms around his neck. "What are you doing!?" He walked with his partner until deciding to answer moments later after she had calmed down. "I'm taking you with us. Sasuke can have you back later." She giggled softly and rested her head on his chest.
                          
It was a bit of a walk but Kisame opened the door for the two. Once inside Itachi put her down and grabbed her wrist. "Where are we going now?" He didn't answer as he walked to a door and knocked on it. Earning a come in he pulled her into the room with him. A guy in a mask choked on air for a minute at seeing her and a man with orange hair raised an eyebrow at the three. "Pein-sama. I have brought someone I would like to stay with us for a while." Kurami looked at the two new men in question. The man with a mask walked behind Itachi and Kurami shutting the door and locking it. Kurami grabbed Itachi's arm as she moved closer to him nervously. The man in the mask walked up to her and moved her hair away from her face. Upon seeing the mark he stumbled back in shock. "Misty?" Her eyes widened hearing thee familiar voice. "Nii-chan?" She let go of Itachi as tears weld in her eyes and she jumped at Tobi. He caught her in his arms and let her cry on his shoulder. Itachi let a small smile slip watching the two. "I suppose she may stay. How is she even alive?" Tobi held her close rubbing her back. "My younger brother cast a jutsu on her many years ago. That must be why she's alive and young now." She moved back and punched Tobi in the stomach. "Why the hell did you let Izuna die!? Why did you fight Hashirama!? He was my responsibility!" Tobi clutched his stomach and fell to his knees in pain. "I swear there's an explanation for all of this Misty. Let me explain myself." She crossed her arms glaring at him. Itachi wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her back to him. Pein decided to speak up before she could beat Tobi anymore. "I'm assuming you don't go by Misty anymore am I right?" She looked over at him and nodded. "Yes, I go by Kurami now." He nodded and stood up walking over to her. "Your brother is under the alias of Tobi now as well. I am Pein. But you may call me Pein-sama. As soon as you get a little comfortable and change meet everyone in the main room." She nodded and looked back to Tobi. "Nii-chan. I suppose I will talk to you later." Tobi nodded getting off the floor. "Yes. Meet me in my room this evening." She nodded before being led out by Itachi to his room that he shared with Kisame. Kisame smiled seeing the two as they entered the room. "It's nice to see you've joined us. I'm Kisame." She smiled softly folding her hands over each other in her lap. "It's nice to meet you Kisame. I'm Kurami." He nodded before looking at Itachi. "Where will she be staying?" Itachi guided her to his closet and pulled out a cloak handing it to her. "She's staying in here with us. She'll sleep in my bed with me." Kisame chuckled. Kurami put the cloak on and was guided out of the room by Itachi with Kisame following.
                          
Everyone was in the main room as Pein had told them. They all raised an eyebrow at the new person. Though Kakuzu's eyes widened seeing her. She narrowed her eyes at him somewhat recognizing him. Pein walked into the room with Tobi bouncing around behind him. Kurami rose an eyebrow at Tobi for his ridiculous behavior. "Since we have a new member of the Akatsuki you all should introduce yourselves." Hidan smirked. "I'll go first. The names Hidan bitch." She scowled at him. "I'm Deidara. Nice to meet you." She nodded at Deidara and turned towards Tobi as he began jumping around. "I'm Tobi! It nice to meet such a pretty lady!" She tried to hold back her laughter seeing her brother's act. She let out little giggles as she spoke. "Thank you. It's nice to meet you too." "Kakuzu." She looked at the man who had just spoke and started at him remembering his face. Tobi jumped and danced around her getting her attention. "What's your name pretty lady?" She smiled at Tobi shrugging off the thought of Kakuzu. "I'm Kurami." Tobi jumped back and forth clapping his hands. "Ohhhh such a pretty name!" Her smile faltered a bit but looked at the floor with a sad smile. "Yes, I think so too." Itachi placed his hand on her mid back. "Good, you all have met her. Itachi, take her to her room. I'll have a mission for you shortly." Itachi nodded and Kisame followed the two to their room.
                          
Kisame Kurami and Itachi ran through the land of fire on their way to find their target. A fire ball flew at them and Itachi grabbed Kurami pulling her back so she wouldn't be burnt. They looked around for the attacker and found no one. Kurami gasped and threw her hand out in front of Itachi's neck as a senbon flew at it. She flinched as it impaled her hand. Itachi's eyes widened for a second before narrowing where it was thrown from. "Careful Kurami. The senbon is poisoned." She nodded. "I know. I've been poisoned before Itachi. I know what poison feels like." Kisame threw a water shark at the trees and the attacker jumped out of the tree to dodge the attack. The three glared at their target but was glad they didn't have to go further to hunt him down. Kurami began making quick hand signs just as their target had. She put her hands together letting lightning begin to swarm around them. The guy slammed his hands on the ground just as she had. She glared as he used an earth jutsu to block her lightning but was happy to see him go flying from the explosion her jutsu caused under him. Itachi added in with a fire ball to use as a counter attack. Kurami tried to see through the smoke and activated her Mangekyo.  Her eyes widened and she shoved Itachi towards Kisame as their target flew out of the ground and stabbed her in the shoulder. She clenched her eyes closed tightly from the pain. The guy took it at an advantage and sank the knife further into her causing her to cry out a bit. He went behind her and grabbed her wrists holding them behind her back with one hand as he grabbed the blade and pulled it out of her shoulder. Itachi went to run at them to free her but was stopped by Kisame. "Take one more step and it will be a more fatal wound. She glared at him over her shoulder but flinched as his hold tightened. Kisame pulled Samehada off his back and walked towards them before running. The guy raised the knife and swung down towards her heart but his blade was hit out of his hand by Samehada. The guy cried out in pain as Samehada had grazed his hand in the process. Kurami stumbled forward being caught by Itachi. He moved her behind him in a protective manner.

Kurami pulled her kuni out of the guys throat panting. The three turned to the sound of rustling in the bushes. Kurami jumped back over to Itachi's side just as Sasuke walked out. He glared intensely at Itachi before storming over and grabbing Kurami's wrist. Itachi wrapped an arm around her waist pulling her closer to him. This only pissed off Sasuke more. He went to attack Itachi but Kurami stopped him. "Stop Sasuke. I'll go with you." She sent an apologetic look to Itachi but he just nodded brushing it off. Kisame was confused watching the ordeal. 
                          
Sasuke dragged her a far distance from his brother before slamming her into a tree. She flinched at her contact still wounded. "What the hell were you thinking!? Why were you with Itachi!?" She frowned and looked away. "Because I had nowhere else to go." He punched the tree next to her head making her flinch. "You did have somewhere to go idiot! You could have come back! Why the hell did you run off anyway?" She glared at him. "I wasn't about to let Orochimaru do anything to me! He will do anything in his power to get what he wants from me!" Sasuke growled under his breath. "I won't let him hurt you. You belong to me. Not him or Itachi." She gave him a sympathetic look. He grabbed the sides of her face and pulled her into a kiss. She was a bit slow at responding but gently kissed him back. He pressed her firmly against the tree as he deepened the kiss. She grabbed his arms firmly and tried to push him away. He only pressed himself more firmly against her and deepened the kiss turning it rough. She clenched her eyes tightly and tried harder and harder to get away from him. He began trailing kisses down her neck and her hold tightened. "Sasuke please. Stop." He glared up at her before standing over her. "I won't let Itachi's hands linger on you. You shall only know of my touch." Her eyes widened and she focused her chakra into her hands shoving him back as he went to kiss her again. She took off running and Sasuke followed.
                          
He skid to a stop as she ran into Orochimaru. Sasuke narrowed his eyes at him as Orochimaru smirked at her. "What a pleasant surprise. I wonder where you've been?" Sasuke firmly grabbed her arm pulling her behind him. "What do you want Orochimaru?" Orochimaru chuckled at Sasuke. "I came after you since you took off so fast." Kurami grabbed the back of Sasuke's shirt firmly as she moved further behind him. He reached behind him wrapping an arm around her. "Come Sasuke. The mission isn't over." He looked at Kurami and frowned. "Do take care of your arm dear. That looks painful." She frowned suddenly remembering her wound. She had been ignoring the pain as she was worried about other things. Sasuke frowned at her over his shoulder. Sasuke followed Orochimaru grabbing Kurami's hand dragging her with him. She held her hand over her wound healing it as they walked. She was sure she would have had to deal with Orochimaru later, but thought it was worth the risk if it meant looking out for Sasuke as she had promised Itachi.
