"I have to go! I need to speak to them, and I doubt they're in the above ground mansion,"I protested. Castor gazed into my eyes pleadingly. "I don't want to leave you, but I have to go down there! If Aerglo sent forces after my family and I don't know about it, I'll never forgive myself! I need to make sure they're okay. Please, Castor. Please let me see my family." Castor held onto me closely and slowly his grip loosened. He hung his head as his arms dropped from mine.
"God, what am I getting myself into....go. Go and come back,"Castor murmured. That was when Llyr spoke up.
"As the guardian who can wield water, I can go underwater and breathe with ease. Allow me to guide your princess, Spoiled One?"Llyr offered. Castor didn't even glare at him as he nodded solemnly. Castor looked up at me one last time, before standing and looking down. He turned around.
"Look away, she needs to undress,"Castor spoke. Every one of the guardians and the two princes turned away, allowing for me to strip down quickly. I jumped in the water and changed my tail, and then looked down nodding at the shell bra that had appeared on me. I popped back up and breathed the air in. "Are you in?"
"Yes. Llyr, come on, hurry,"I replied. Llyr unlaced his boots and hopped into the water. With his powers he formed a bubble around his head, and I grabbed his wrist. "Castor, we'll be back. I promise." I drug Llyr under the water and swam as fast as I could. I breathed a sigh of relief when we came upon the sight of my family's mansion, untouched and unharmed. I gestured. "There it is, Llyr."
"Wow. Incredible,"Llyr marveled. I kept a hold on his wrist and swam quickly through the gates and into the doors. When I made it inside, a servant swimming past stopped and their eyes widened upon seeing me.
"L-Lady Isla?!"she exclaimed. She immediately regained her composure and bowed in respect to me.
"No time for that. Take me to my mother and father,"I spoke, waving my hand at her. She lead Llyr and I to my Father's study. When I went inside, my Father looked up. Immediately he attacked me in a warm embrace.
"Isla....I'm so glad....Isla...."he murmured. I squeezed him back, releasing Llyr's wrist. Llyr placed his feet on the coral-marble floor, looking around in awe at how our mansion was decorated. My Father let go and sighed, bubbles floating out of his mouth. It was then that I remembered...he wasn't really my father. I felt my heart sink. "Geo wants to see you....we have something to tell you." I flinched back in alarm. Geo is alive? My Father blinked at my surprise and then realized. "That was his decoy....masked to appear like Geo. They took Kai." I gaped.
"Geo is alive?!"I exclaimed. Relief washed over me, followed with anger. "They took Kai?" He nodded. He gestured to his clamshell and I lead Llyr to it, allowing him to be seated. "Father, I have much to tell you too....I'm....someone important." My father held his hand up.
"Your mother, and Geo first,"he murmured to me. I swallowed and fell silent as we waited. When my mother and Geo came in, Geo looked relieved. My mother tackled me in a warm hug, and Geo crossed his arms. When mom pulled back she gave me a sad look.
"My poor Isla....your Fate was truly awful,"she told me softly. I shook my head and gave her a small sad grin.
"I met amazing people...and I discovered amazing things. I'm someone important....Mom, this is Llyr, he's-"I began. I was interrupted with Geo holding his hand up. I glanced at him and between mom and my father. I frowned. "I already know, Mom." Her eyes widened.
"So...you know Alois is really your uncle,"Geo commented. I nodded and leaned back into the clamshell. Llyr looked confused. I glanced at him and let out a sigh with a stream of bubbles.
"Llyr....Geo, that's my biological father. He and my mom....well,"I didn't finish. Llyr immediately nodded. Mom gave me a saddened look. I sighed. "Geo, I'm not going to be able to start calling you dad automatically...I'm mad neither of you told me. But that's not the point, I'm angrier that Kai has been taken. You need to listen to what I have to say..." The three adult mermaids exchanged glances. "I'm the Golden Warrioress reincarnated." They all seemed surprised. "I know, it's kind of ridicoulous sounding, but hear me out. This is Llyr. The water elf, one of the four guardians. There are three more guardians...along with the two princes waiting up on the dock for me. You'll meet them...but only if I succeed in what I'm about to do." A look crossed over my mom's face.
