Chapter One:
“Hey, watch where you’re going…” The guy’s voice trailed off as he glimpsed the girl’s eyes.
They were an unusual color of blue-ish green. And they were staring without hesitation at him, as if he was the one who should apologize… Maybe he was…
How stupid could he have been, not watching where he was walking? He hoped he hadn’t hurt her, it would kill him if he had hurt her… to see those mesmerizing eyes filled with hurt – he couldn’t imagine it.
“Uhm, hello?! Are you going to say sorry, or what? If not, please get out of my way, I need to get to my class.”
Her voice pulled him out of his reverie and he stumbled over his words, “I’m sorry, are you okay? You’re not hurt, are you?”
“If I was, I wouldn’t be the only one. So, consider it as a no. Now, get out of my way, please.”
He frowned, not liking her tone. Wasn’t she supposed to feel the connection he was feeling? The intense pull, the overwhelming of emotions – the dedication to him?
He looked at her face and only saw one thing. Annoyance. He stepped sideways and she glided past him. He watched as she went around a corner and disappeared.
He sighed and scoffed. If she wanted to act that way towards him – the one person designed for her – then so be it… Two could play at that game – he smirked and walked off.
*****
I am finding this class sooo BORING! Hey! Is that a bird outside? Lucky thing. It has more freedom than me!
“Alice. Alice…Alice!” She jumped and her head swung towards the teacher frowning at her.“Uhm, the answer is pie?” Alice said, though it sounded more like a question.
The teacher frowned and her eyes turned to slits, “The answer could have been correct, had you been in a Math class. I asked you what year Napoleon died?!”
“The year he lost the war?” She said/asked and the kids chuckled.
“Do you think this is funny, Alice?”
Alice pretended to think about it before she replied with a smile, “Yes, it kinda is.”
The teacher’s face turned an unusual shade of purple, “Out! To the principal’s office, now!”
Alice huffed, picked up her book bag and stalked out of the room.
“Stupid teacher, stupid Napo-Napo… whatever the dude’s name was!” She grumbled under her breath as she walked down the deserted corridors.
“Fancy meeting you here.”
She jumped and whirled around; spotting the guy that had bumped into her, before class, smirking at her. "What the hell!? First, you nearly send me on my ass and then you try to scare the shit out of me! What is your problem!?"
His smirked deepened as he pushed himself from the wall, stopping once their toes were touching. "Nothing's my problem, except the fact that you're disrespecting me. So, you gonna tell me why you're doing that?"
