2 | PROLOGUEIndra Minerva Badu was the daughter of a highly respectable woman from Harlem: Amorette Badu. Amorette was adored all throughout Harlem. She was said to have saved it from collapsing multiple times. She was a wise, independent woman that birthed and raised four children all by herself, for the father was murdered for discovering a malicious organization trying to corrupt Manhattan. Her four children were: Indra, Scarlett, Diana and Jubilee.
Each of her children became the successors of her wonderful reputation after she was mysteriously shot and killed one, cold Harlem night. All of her children ended up becoming successful women, just like her. Jubilee became a neurosurgeon and stayed near home in New York City. Diana became a member of the New York City council. Scarlett became a scientist studying biochemistry somewhere in Queens. Indra, being the youngest, was still studying.
Indra was studying abroad in Afghanistan to learn engineering. She, being the smartest out of her family, loved a mental challenge- so, she taught herself to speak fluent Arabic within months so that she may attend school in Afghanistan. There, she met a man promising her a job that would pay well and allowed her to travel- and escape Manhattan. She was sick of seeing tall buildings. Growing up with her mother, all she ever knew was Manhattan. At one point, she even thought all of the districts of Manhattan made up the entire world. When she could, she travelled a lot. She loved seeing open space and grass. The only time she'd ever see grass was when she'd pass Central Park as she rode the bus to school.
Little did she know, she was affiliating herself with a dangerous group of men. Her boss was Raza, from the Ten Rings, and he was going to train her- a young American- to become one of the best spies in the world.
Over the course of four years, Indra was taught every form of combat that ever existed. She learned everything from Capoeira to Boxing to every form of Martial Arts. She also learned how to use many different types of weapons, some that were unheard of by the general public. The men she worked for would send her out into the field to spy and sometimes assassinate people- but, all she knew was that she was working for the government to eliminate terrorist threats despite the fact that she was actually working for a terrorist. At the end of the day, she'd go back to her base and return to study engineering. She'd build weapons and structures for practice, then dissemble it before sunrise so that she could start again the next night.
