"Why couldn't your mother drop you girls off again?" Harry asked looking at his daughter and her friend through the rear view mirror."She's on a lunch date." He nodded but rolled his eyes at the thought of someone wanting to have lunch with Taylor. They had been divorced for well over two years.
To Harry the only good out come of their relationship was their daughter, Beau. At a point in their relationship Harry found himself questioning his sexuality. He struggled for months and soon months turned into years. He found himself telling Taylor about his newly discovered preference and she wasn't happy about it.
She was completely disgusted and wanted to take Beau away from Harry.
At the time she(beau) was only 11 and was slowly growing a mind of her own. Harry fought hard for Beau and they eventually, a year later, settled on joint custody. To which Harry was thankful for. Now Beau is 13 and to Harry's surprise she looks a lot like him and the only thing that resembles Taylor is her slight, girlish attitude.
"Alrighty, were here." Harry says pulling into the parking lot of the small park where they practiced.
"Are you going to watch? Mom usually stays to watch for a little bit." Harry sighed but then smiled at how excited Beau looked.
"Of course, lets go!" Harry said excitedly. Beau and her friend, Olivia, hopped out of the soccer mom SUV and rushed to the field. Leaving Harry to grab their bags.
"Leave me to do all the work for you!"He shouted in a joking tone to Beau who giggled and waved him off. He shook his head, turning to the car to grab one of the soccer bags.
"Need a hand?" A high pitch, yet soft voice offered. The voice made Harry jump but laugh from the scare.
"You scared me," He turned around to the voice,"I think I've go-" Harry words were gone when he saw the beautiful man in front of him. He was shorter than him, his messy hair was styled in a fringe, and... he was wearing soccer gear. He could either be another dad dropping his kid off or,
"Hi, I'm Louis Tomlinson, the coach. I've never seen you here before. Are you Beau's dad?" Harry gulped at the eye contact Louis was making with him.
"I- uh no," Harry paused a moment, "Wait! Yeah yeah I'm Beau's dad." Harry stuttered looking past Louis to avoid the mans ocean blue eyes. Louis laughed at Harry's fumbled words and Harry thought it was the most amazing sound he's ever heard.
Louis took a step to lean forward, his whole front side making slight contact with Harry. Harry felt himself turn red from the little contact. Louis stepped back with the other soccer bag in his hand.
"Wow she looks a lot like you, the hair and everything." Harry instinctively touched his long wavy hair. "Are you staying to watch for a bit?" Harry only nodded not trusting his voice. "Right this way then, love." Harry's heart just about melted but he pushed the feeling to the side.
He's probably straight. Harry thought, even if he wasn't why would he go for you?
"Alright laddies, hustle up and give me two full laps around the field!" Louis called out setting the bag down. "You can stand and watch or sit on the grass if you'd like."
"Thanks." Louis nodded and headed out to do the two laps as well. Harry stood their watching Louis pass up all the girls, clapping and motivating them as he went around not breaking a sweat.
After a while of watching Beau and Louis, Harry got rather bored. He's not much of a sports guy. He took out his phone seeing they had an hour left of practice. He got a text from one of his mates asking if he wanted to go over for a little house party/get together. He texted saying he'd be over after dropping off Beau and her friend at Taylor's.
"Dad!" Harry heard his little girl shout. He looked up and she waved. He then watched as she swiftly kicked the ball making it past the goal keeper, and it slamming into the net.
"Whooo!" Harry shouted throwing his arms in the air looking like a mad man. She laughed at her dads silly-ness, heading to the end of the line they had formed. Louis had noticed Harry and Beau's interaction and smiled fondly.
Harry caught Louis looking at him and Harry having a bit of excitement coursing through his veins, winked at him. Harry realized the action and mentally cursed himself for it. He could see the tiny smirk on the coaches already gorgeous face, Harry couldn't believe how much more attractive the little smirk was on him.
Harry calmed down when Louis' attention was back on his team, though he was a bit upset it wasn't on him.
Soon enough practice ended. Beau jogged towards her dad who had ice cold water ready for her and Olivia. Being the soccer mom Harry is, he also brought them little healthy snacks.
"Practice was good yeah?" Harry asked the girls who nodded tiredly. "Good, i enjoyed it."
"Glad you enjoyed it Styles." Harry looked past the girls and saw Louis walking up to them. Beau grabbed her dads keys and raced to the car with Olivia.
"Oh yeah, it was really great." Harry felt himself growing more and more nervous as Louis walked closer and closer.
"I never got your name?" Louis asked in a questioning tone.
"Its Harry."
"Hm it suits you, you have a lot of hair." Louis chuckled, Harry blushed a bit from embarrassment.
"I've actually been thinking about cutting it, people say long hair isn't for guys and-"
"Are you crazy?" Louis nearly shouted.
"Uhh-"
"Sorry, I just don't think that a decision like that should be based on what other people think, ya know?" Louis clarified leaning on his toes and back down.
"I guess your right." Harry agreed.
"I know I am." Louis smirked. A honk interrupted the men.
"I guess Beau is getting impatient." Harry sighed while Louis chuckled.
"It was nice meeting you Styles, maybe see you next time?" Louis said.
Harry nodded walking backwards toward the car, "Maybe." He did the bold thing again and winked. He quickly turned around, as he did so he stepped on his own foot and tripped, nearly falling to the ground.
Beau and Olivia laughed in the car to which Harry scowled. He looked behind him to see Louis not facing him and sighed happily.
"I saw that!" Louis called out laughing. Harry didn't turn around to look at Louis' laughing face. Instead he slyly gave him the bird, Louis's laugh only grew.
