Chapter 49

                                    

                                          
How do you relieve stress? Some people do many different things to relieve their stress. Simply because what they do, calms them down. It might not be the safest way, but it's the only thing that can make your thoughts shut up. 
                          
I turn the shower on, adjusting the temperature and waiting a good minute before stepping in. 
                          
Based on the things I see, people relieve their stress by taking a nice hot shower, like me. Some drink a warm cup of coffee, some smoke a cigarette just to fill their bodies up with the heat. People sleep just to avoid the problems they're going through.
                          
Stress can come in different levels and right now, I have come to the point I don't want to come out of the shower anymore. I just want to stay here. Because I feel like this is the only place the truth can't reach me. 
                          
I soap myself briefly before letting the warm water run through my body. I picture all the things that had just occurred this morning. It wasn't something I expected nor something I ever even thought of. 
                          
Finn being my first, forbidden love isn't arguable. I don't remember my past but for him, he remembers everything. But knowing this makes me so much more confused with myself. It makes me question myself whether I was happy with what I had just learned.
                          
I didn't know whether I was supposed to be happy or to be sad with the news. I was finally loving my new life, the life I knew God gave me as a second chance. But somehow, my own past caught up with me. Trying to bring me back to the past. 
                          
I step out of the shower before quickly changing into my clothes and rushing down the stairs to see where everybody is. 
                          
"Alyssa! Over here!" Michael motioned for me to go out to the backyard. 
                          
I smiled at him for a good few seconds before walking up to him. 
                          
Everyone was out in the backyard, just playing games as Michael made sure he was in the gazebo, claiming he had lost his interest on the sun ever since he was introduced to video games at the age of 7. He made sure he had his compact gaming system with him all the time. 
                          
The other boys, well everyone else was letting theirselves soak and tan in the sun. Quiet a few on the pool but everyone was having their own type of fun. 
                          
"Alyssa! You already took a shower? I was hoping you could come and swim with us but then we all know how lazy you are." Calum stuck his tongue out. 
                          
I laughed in agreement, making my way past the 12/7 buffet table provided to us by the management. Luke even gets free takeaway every time they start packing away for the night. 
                          
I sat myself down beside Michael as he continued to murder his controller. 
                          
Ashton swayed his way to me in a more hilariously traumatizing way but it was alright. He was attractive in many, many odd ways. 
                          
I giggled shyly as I pushed Michael aside to give Ashton a little bit to sit his butt down. 
                          
"No Ashton! Don't sit down! You're going to wet the whole chair up. What if I had to lie down then my feet get cold cause of the wet area your butt sat on?" Michael complained like a little boy. 
                          
Ashton brushed him off as he knew Michael too, was just kidding. 
                          
He sat beside me, careful not to wet my sundress as smiled at him. 
                          
"I want to give you a hug, but then you're not gonna want to." He said
                          
"And who said I won't" I asked him before pulling him into a hug. 
                          
Ashton began to giggle and lifted me up. I looked down at him as he kept his face concentrated to where he was going. 
                          
"Where are you taking me?" I asked him. 
                          
"Somewhere." He told me. 
                          
"Somewhere?" I repeated
                          
"Definitely somewhere." He laughed.

So apparently our exams are coming up and I'm pretty busy with all the studying and last minute pop quizzes.
