Alyssa's P.O.V

I flatten down the simple flowy red dress. I turn around to look in the full length mirror, that's rested on the baby blue walls. I can't lie, it feels weird going through someone else's clothes when I've never met them. I hope she doesn't mind. I fix my makeup a bit with my fingers, making it look more presentable.

It's a bit of a strange feeling going to a party with Blake or even doing anything with him, but I guess it could also be fun. I'm not really the type to go to parties often. Olivia has forced Rachel and I to go to a couple before, but she doesn't do it often.

I fold my black jeans and white shirt, then set them on the bed. Going back over to the closet to search for a pair of heels or flats to wear. I look at the shoe rack inside and only see a few black pairs of heels. Heels it is. I grab the shortest looking pair I see, to try them on. They fit perfectly on my feet. Strapping the heels around my ankles, I walk around the room getting used to the heels.

When I'm satisfied with my look, I grab my phone and walk out of the room, closing the door behind me. While walking down the steps I notice Blake has been watching me, looking me up and down. I can't help but feel a little nervous and insecure.

He stands up and sticks his hands in his front pockets. "You look beau- uh... Nice. You look really nice." Blake says, his face beginning to redden. Was he about to call me beautiful? No that can't be right.

I give him a small smile, then look down at my feet feeling slightly awkward. Once I make it to the bottom of the stairs Blake starts talking, "you ready to go?" I give him a nod in return.

Blake grabs the keys to his car, as we both walk out of the house, Blake locking the door behind him. "Shit, I didn't call my mom to tell her I'm going out." Blake curses while pulling out his phone and unlocking the car doors. I get into the passenger seat as Blake slides into the driver's seat, waiting for his mom to answer.

"Hey mom, I'm going to a friend's house for a bit." He pauses as his mom starts talking.

"No, I'm going to be with Cody."

"Yeah, it's a small party..." he trails off. Yeah, a 'small' party.

"Mom, come on, please. I won't drink a lot, I'll be home before midnight." I let out a quiet giggle at that statement.

"You're the best, thanks! Love you, bye." He puts his phone back into his pocket and looks over towards me. I'm surprised he told his mom he loved her in front of me. Usually, guys don't say stuff like that around other people.

"Midnight?" I laugh. "Will your car turn car turn back into a pumpkin?" I tease.

"Haha very funny." He grins. "I had to persuade her somehow." He shrugs, starting the car.

"Your mom is really nice." I compliment and he turns back to me, giving me a smile.

"Yeah, she is. She's a great mom." He smiles to himself. I really love it when guys talk about their moms.

We pull up to the house and Blake parks on the side of the street. You can already hear the music blaring from outside. I see my phone light up with a call from Lucas.

"Um, one second." I tell Blake, stepping out of the car and leaning against it.

"What do you want?" I groan into the phone.

"Where are you? I've been trying to get a hold of you all night!"

"Why does it matter?"
