Kurai's P.O.V.~

I woke up to Shiroi nuzzling me and smiled, nuzzling him back.

"Good morning Shiroi, had a good-night's sleep?" I whispered softly. He purred in response and jumped onto the floor. I brushed his fur until it was nice and clean and proceeded to dress myself. Since it was Yona-hime's birthday, I decided to still wear something easy to fight in, but sort of like a kimono. My katanas were strapped on either side of me as well.

Checking that everything was ready, I walked out with Shiroi besides me. Going to the banquet room, I bumped into my brother.

"Oh? You're wearing something nice for once?" He asked, surprised.

I shrugged indifferently, falling in step with him.

"I suppose. It is Yona-hime's birthday and she would probably shout for me to dress up." I shuddered at that thought.

"It looks good on you." He complimented.

I rolled my eyes, pulling on his arm.

"Come on lets go." I sighed, pulling him along.

Third P.O.V.~

The room was filled with people coming in and paying their respects to Yona. Two siblings were standing off to the side scanning the faces. Seeing nothing suspicious, one of them went over to the food table and stole all the onigiris. She came back with her arms full of it and offered some to her brother. The brother gladly took half of them and they stood eating it.

"Ungh ungh, 16 already huh? I'm so proud of her!" King Il exclaimed through his tears.

Yona came over to her father once nobody approached her for a while, a bright smile on her face.

"Father, my hair is so unruly, I wanted to put my hair up!" She whined, twirling a strand of her hair in between her fingers.

"It's no use, she's only thinking of her hair." King Il said, his head dropping down.

"Yona-hime, you shouldn't say something like that, you look beautiful already." A female voice called out. Yona looked up to find a raven-haired woman with dark blue eyes in a bright blue kimono? smiling at her. Yona blinked.

"Oh, who are you?" She blankly stated.

"I'm hurt, but then again this is the first time you've seen me like this right?" The person mused. Hak then came over.

"Ne Hak, who is this person?" Yona asked, looking at her bodyguard while shamelessly pointing at the ravenette.

"Kurai." He deadpanned, arms crossed.

"Haaa!!! No way! You're Kurai?" The people around Kurai exclaimed.

"Well yeah, who else has this adorable ball of fluff?" She exclaimed, picking up Shiroi.

"How did I not notice him?" Yona exclaimed, fantasizing over Kurai's appearance and such.

"Does this mean you're gonna wear dresses Kurai??" People questioned.

"Nope, this is not even a dress, it's a combat outfit." She blankly stated pointing at her outfit.

"Oh..." Everyone became disappointed.

"Ah~ Yona-hime, I need to give you something. Open your hand." Kurai remembered and set Shiroi down on the floor. She began rummaging through the pockets of her kimono, searching for the present. Yona did as told, curious as to what her childhood friend would have for her. When Kurai made a fist above her open hand and drew away, she saw it was a pendant with a picture of Soo-won in the middle.
