A few days later Link tested his weight on his bad foot. The pain was now only a phantom pain. "It looks like your ready to go," Zelda exclaimed.

"Other than the fact that I need to get better clothes on for our little fishing trip today," Link laughed. "I don't think it would be suitable if I went fishing in slippers and pajamas."

"Oh, right!" Zelda laughed and rolled her eyes, while adjusting her t-shirt. "Forgot about that..."

Link smiled and got up from the hospital bed. "It's alright. I'll just take about ten minutes or so."

"You better! I wanna fishing!"

"Got it."

Zelda always wanted to go fishing...she just never had that kind of time on her hands. Or, in that case, anyone who was willing to go with her. She always knew it would be fun, but not this fun.

"Fish on!" Link yelled as he started to reel in his catch. He had taken Zelda to a stream in a grove of trees thirty minutes away from Castle Town located in Hyrule Field.

Of course, Zelda couldn't leave Castle Town without some protection. To fix that problem one of the most elite officers of Hyrule Castle security sat on a log by the white Cadillac they had driven.

Zelda was in awe by the beauty of her surroundings out of Castle Town. The trees crowded by the clear stream to plant their roots in fertile ground, the fish practically had a diet of worm on hook, and the sun shone through the amber leaves over their heads. It was a breathtaking autumn day, despite the chill. Thank goodness Zelda brought a hoodie.

It almost seemed that the Crown Princess had zero opportunities to wear casual clothing. Going fishing was an exception.

"How are you getting all the fish?" Zelda asked while watching Link reel in something heavy.

Link turned his head and smirked at her. "Years and years of experience, Princess."

"Zelda."

"Oh, that's right, Zelda."

Link finally reeled in his big catch. Or what he thought was his big catch.

"I can't believe it," Link huffed in disappointment as he glared at soggy boot at the end of his line. "A shoe?!"

"It's a good thing were doing catch in release!" Zelda howled with laughter. Link even heard the guard sitting on his log chuckle.

Link set down his fishing pole and laughed. "It's guess it is a good thing we're doing catch and release. Although, I'd pay you ten rupees to eat that boot."

"Sorry to disappoint you, Link," Zelda laughed. "But let's not forget who has the Hyrule Treasury on speed dial."

Link laughed so hard he felt tears form in his eyes, which that made Zelda laugh and that made Link laugh even harder.

Zelda placed her hand on Link's shoulder. "Hey, thanks for taking me fishing. I've never done anything quite like this before in my life. I haven't had this much fun since I can remember."

"Well, I'm happy I could you make you happy by doing this for you," Link blushed slightly. "It's been fun to take you here."

"Next time we should bring everyone else, I'm sure they'd enjoy it a lot," Zelda said as she set her fishing pole aside and drew little patterns in the dirt next to her. To be honest, Zelda thought sitting in the dirt was much, much better than sitting in a meeting all day.

"There's a next time?" Link asked in suprise.

Zelda lifter her head and smiled. "Of course! Did you think you could take me out to do something this fun and not expect to not do it again?"

"Ha ha," Link chuckled nervously. "I guess I wasn't thinking right."

"Speaking of which," Zelda tapped her finger on her chin, "I've been thinking, Link. Since you took me fishing, I thought it would fair if I took you snowboarding at Snowpeak. Of course Marth, Ike, Samus, and the others would come. I thought it would be fun. What do you think?"

Link's eyes widened at the mention of Snowpeak. It was one of the most exclusive ski resorts in Hyrule, perhaps the world. He knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. "Are you serious? Snowpeak? I think it's a great idea!"

"It knew you'd agree," Zelda smiled. Link smiled back at her. He became mesmerized by her deep blue eyes that he became lost in thought.

Zelda's smile vanished. "Do I have something on my face?"

"...Huh?" Link snapped back to reality. "No, no, not at all! I was just...I think your face looks amazing! I mean--"

Zelda felt her cheeks grow hot. She laughed. "I think your face looks pretty great too."

It was Link's turn to blush. "Sorry about that, Zelda."

"I'm not offended in any way," Zelda smiled. "There's really no need to apologize."

"Then I apologize for the awkwardness."

"I accept your apology."

"Thank you."

"You are most certainly welcome."

"That was probably the most interesting way I heard you say 'you're welcome' before."

"Are you challenging me to sing it in a song?"

"No thanks."

"You're welcome."

It was dark when Link and Zelda finally got back to Hyrule Castle. If Link had to pick on word to describe how the dying had gone he would choose "amazing". If he could use another word it would be "wet". Maybe because of the fact that Zelda tried to push him into the stream.

Link and Zelda said their goodnights and went their ways. Zelda was true to her world and granted Link with a room of his own, but that didn't mean Marth, Ike, and Samus never barged in.

Thankfully, Link had gotten back so late that everyone was asleep. Just before Link went to sleep he picked up the phone and dialed Rusl's number.

"Hello?" Rusl answered on the other side. "Link is that you? Wait a sec, I'm going to put you on speaker."

"Hi Rusl!" Link greeted.

"Link!" Uli exclaimed. "How are you? In your last letter it sounded like Princess Zelda got you you a job! You're a historian now, right?"

Link chuckled. "Not yet. I start work when Prince Marth and his friends leave."

Link heard Rusl sigh. "Oh yeah, that's right. You became friends with Prince Marth of Altea. It sounds like you're becoming friends with all kind of royalty!"

"Yeah," Link smiled. "I took Princess Zelda fishing today. Is there was her first time, can you believe that?"

"Not really," Uli answered. "I think she was busy with running the kingdom."

"I think Uli is right," Rusl stated.

"If I were doing something important, like say I was saving the world, I'd always find time for fishing!" Link laughed.

Rusl chuckled. "Doesn't suprise me one bit."

"Anyways, I should go to bed. I'll call you tomorrow," Link yawned.

"Goodnight, Link."

"We love you! Sweet dreams!"

With that, Link heard a click on the other side of the phone. He laid down on his bed and put his phone on his nightstand. Link reached over and turned off his lap.

Link was about to fall asleep when he heard someone pounding on his door. Growling, Link kicked off his sheets and walked across the room to answer the door.
