A.N. Ok its a slightly longer one ^-^ Also guys just wanted to say I've started another book so please go check it out
The week goes on, the days of school merging together apart from those little moments I get to spend with Yuri. Its the 29th today - his birthday - which means I've got some shopping to do.
"Hey, you ready to leave?" I hear a voice beside me and I come to my senses.
"Umm ye- wait no, sorry I've got detention today." I say faking a pout, "Meet you back home?"
He sighs but then nods and leaves me on my own. I don't like lying to him but I've got to get him something for his birthday.
I wait until he's out of sight, then slip out of the school gate and run the opposite direction into the town centre.
~
The door clicks behind me as I pull my shoes from my feet and place them on the shelf, conveniently situated beside the door.
The present I got him was a ring. Not to propose or anything but just as a thank you, he's been so kind to me, inviting me into his house when I had nowhere else to go and always being there for me when I needed him most. He is my rock in this stormy, never yielding ocean.
I start towards and up the stairs, checking around corners to make sure my Yuri isn't there, however still holding the small, velvet box behind my back just incase.
When I reach Yuri's small room I pull out my bag, carefully placing the small box inside then slide it back under the bed. I stand up and turn around to see Yuri lurking in the doorway, smiling and leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed.
"What you doing?" He asks half joking.
"...Looking for...you, yes. Oh look I found you!"
"Uh huh," He says nodding slowly, apparently unconvinced by my answer.
"So, what I wanted to say was that I'd like to take you out for dinner tonight." I murmur and see him looking at the ground blushing, so slowly I step towards him placing my fingers below his chin and lifting his face, forcing his delicate eyes to meet with mine.
"Y-yes, I'd like that too." He says, our faces now only inches apart, my eyes flicker between his hazel eyes and his soft lips, and the tension between us grows until finally his lips crash into mine and I melt into the kiss. Savouring every moment, breathing in the scent of his cologne.
Moments pass, but then he pulls away, whispering in a low voice, "I should go and get ready". One final kiss is planted on my lips before I see the last of him disappear behind the bathroom door.
Butterflies flutter in my stomach as I smile to myself, collapsing onto the bed in pure ecstasy.
~
When Yuri emerges from the bathroom, he is dressed in some black skinny jeans and a blue shirt that is slightly tight against his subtly muscular frame. His hair is still wet and glistens in the light shining through the large window that overlooks the street below. I slowly get to my feet and pick up his glasses from the table to my right before walking over to him and sliding them onto his face "That's better" I whisper in his ear before taking his hand and lifting it to my face, softly kissing his knuckles. His free hand lifts to his face to help hide the crimson that is quickly becoming more prominent on his usually pale face.
I finish getting ready whilst the raven-haired boy sits quietly on the bed watching me. I get a clean shirt out and place it on the dresser next to me, then slip off my t-shirt and quickly pull it on, dropping the t-shirt in the rush.
I know I shouldn't be, but I still feel self-conscious whenever the boy with bright hazel eyes sees me without my shirt.
Suddenly I feel arms slip around my waist and soft lips press against the back of my neck, I let out a small gasp in surprise and when I turn I see my Yuri standing there his eyes sparkling.
"You ready to go?" I ask quietly and he nods.
On my way out I grab the bag I had slid under Yuri's bed and intertwine my fingers with his, leading him out to my car.
For this evening I had picked out a restaurant I thought looked nice, but affordable - since my job at the skating rink doesn't pay that much. We arrive and I search for a space to park on the side of the road. Yuri sits in the passenger seat with his head leaned against the window, every breath he takes causing it to fog up a little more.
"Yuri, we're here моя любовь" (my love) I say softly stroking his hair back from his face. He opens the door first slowly stepping out of the car and onto the pavement.
"So where is it we're going?" He whispers into my ear and I point to a little place across the street then once again intertwine our fingers and pull him with me.
~
Our meal comes to an end and we are left with empty dessert plates sitting infront of us, Its been an amazing evening full of laughter and sweet smiles from the beautiful boy sitting across the table from me. I hate that it will soon come to an end.
I finish laughing at a comment he had just made then look down at the little bag next to my leg on the floor, knowing whats inside. My heart racing at the thought of what his reaction might be.
"Yuri?"
"Yeah" he replies grinning at me.
I take his hand pulling it carefully up to my lips then whisper into it "happy birthday" meanwhile pulling the velvet box from my bag and handing it to him.
I blush before I begin speaking "I wanted to get you something nice, something you could keep with you, something to thank you for everything you've done for me and for your birthday. I don't have all the money in the world and this was the best thing I could think of."
He takes the box in hand and slowly opens it, tears threatening to spill from his eyes "T-thank you...It's beautiful" a massive smile plastered on his face. I pull the small golden band from the box and hold Yuri's smaller hand in mine. The ring slips easily onto his finger and his face lights up, even more, eyes brighter, cheeks redder and smile bigger. He leans across the table and passionately presses his lips to mine, I let out a small moan before he pulls back, our foreheads resting together and the words "I love you, Yuri katsuki." Escape my lips.
