Percy POV

The doors to the torture chamber opened to reveal Void himself. He walked in, smirking to himself. Probably thinking of the different ways to torture me.

"Well, well-"

"Just cut to the chase," I interrupted. My dear uncle just scowled at me. He shoved past his guards and kneeled in front of me. "Remember where you are and who is your captor."

"Sure," I rolled my eyes. "you expect me to take my almighty uncle Void kneeling before me seriously."

"REMEMBER WHAT I DID TO YOU!" He roared, slamming his fists on the wall, 0.001 m near my face.

All thoughts of annoying him flew out of my mind as I took in what he said to me. "What did you do to me?" Evil laughter rang through the room. "Oh, he didn't tell you? His precious prince is... clueless?"

I didn't like his tone. It was mocking me. And what is he talking about? "You are trying to make me distrust my own father?" I asked disgust laced my voice. "No, no. Certainly not," he assured. It was anything but assuring, though. "It is simply shocking he didn't tell you the truth. How you appeared on earth. What happened in the war."

I shook my head. "Father told me. There was a war against another planet and to keep me safe, he was forced to send me to earth. I was a baby then. Mother died protecting the planet."

"Ignorance is a bliss, my nephew. You think I wouldn't know how my sister died?!"

I know what your thinking. Aren't Chaos and Void brothers? Yes, yes they are. But Order-my real mom- was also their sister. What can I say? If Zeus can marry Hera, so can my dad marry my mom. As someone always said, 'Families are messy. Immortal families are eternally messy'.

"Then why...?"

"Guess you'll just have to die again. Might refresh your memory."

A sudden jolt went through my brain. No, it was not Void's doing. I knew it wasn't. His words just triggered something. Something buried deep inside of my head. I clutched my head in pain. It felt as if there were 50 Krackens thumping their way across my brain.

Scenes flew past my eyes. They were too fast for me to see, but I knew one thing; my dad lied to me. I wasn't sent to earth for protection. My real mom, Order, didn't die the way he told me. Void just might've been the reason why I appeared on earth. I wasn't even a baby when I was sent there.
