"Shiro, there's an escape pod floating just up ahead," Keith said into his com, "I'm gonna take a closer look."
"Be careful, Keith, it could be a trap," Shiro's voice sounded in Keith's helmet.
Keith flew Red closer and peeked into the pod, "There's a girl inside, looks like she's hurt."
"What's a girl doing in an escape pod way out here? My scanners aren't detecting Galra ships or planets for miles!" Pidge says.
"I'm bringing her back to the castle so Allura can check her over," Keith says when Red suddenly lurched and grabbed the escape pod in her mouth. "Whoa! Red, what's gotten into you? Do you know this girl or something?" Keith asked his lion as they flew back to the castle.

Soon enough Keith got the girl into a healing pod, she was wearing Galran prisoner clothing and had strange markings on her face as though she was constantly crying. She hadn't woken up once since they got her out of the single person escape pod that didn't exactly look Galran but it had similar markings and colors. Coran said something about the pattern of the more elegant Galra royalty but everyone assumed the girl stole the pod since they guessed the Galra wouldn't imprison their own royalty. Plus the girl looked nothing like a Galra except for the sharp nails but even those looked filed to be sharp, they were coated in dried blood so she probably used those as her weapon to escape unless the blood was her own.
"I wonder what a girl like her was doing on a Galra ship, she looks human except for those markings on her face and the very slight point to her ears," Shiro comments, looking her up and down.
Coran walked back and forth, examining the girl, "She looks strangely familiar but I can't seem to place my finger on it. Uh, what do you think, Princess?"
Allura walked over, "Yes, her face, I slightly recognize it but I don't know where from. I know I've seen her before but my memory fails me at the moment."
"Well since you don't seem to be feeling any negative emotions from seeing this girl, I'd say you weren't enemies at the time," Pidge says, typing away on her laptop, trying to figure out who the girl is since Pidge still has several prisoner files from the Galra ship that had crashed on Arus.
"No, I feel as though...we were as close as sisters but I'm an only child so she must've just been a really close friend," Allura says.

It was days before the girl was fully healed, the castle inhabitants would occasionally pop in and check on her but Keith did more than just pop in from time to time. The other paladins often found him watching the girl in his free time, he was curious as to why Red was so eager to save her when the lion is usually as distant and stubborn as he is. Keith was the one to catch the girl as she fell out of the healing pod, he sat on the floor and held the still unconscious girl in his arms though she looked much better than before.
"Hey, guys, she's finally out!" he called, he didn't want to jostle her too much.
The other paladins came running in just as the girl was starting to wake up. She shifted and softly groaned, mumbling under her breath what sounded like Red over and over until she screamed and woke up, punching Keith in the jaw. This caught the red paladin completely off guard and knocked him to the floor with a groan of pain which caused Lance to burst out laughing. The girl sat up, looking alert and panicked as she scanned the room with her completely black eyes that matched the markings on her face.
"Ne...Neta hal jus de kanase nalo ki de jalel ki de nai..." she spoke in an alien language that no one understood.[This looks like the healing chamber of the castle of the lions...]
She seemed to finally notice she was sitting on someone's lap and recalls she had punched this person upon waking. The girl became flustered then helped Keith sit up before leaning in and placing her lips on Keith's jaw. Everyone was stunned, especially Keith himself who just sat there until he felt the pain in his jaw disappear.
"What? How come the hot alien chick immediately kissed you and not me?!" Lance shouted.
Keith looked at the girl and rubbed his jaw before frowning at Lance, "I don't think that she meant to do anything other than relieve the pain, Lance, my jaw doesn't hurt anymore."
The girl shot a glare at Lance then stood, stumbling slightly since she just emerged from the healing pod but she quickly regained her balance after catching herself on Keith's shoulder who she gave an apologetic glance at. She walked over to Lance who looked surprised at first then chuckled right before the girl slapped him across the face, leaving a red handprint on his mocha skin, this made Pidge start laughing.
The alien girl turned away and crossed her arms, her black hair snapping at lance as she turned, "Kali ne serota tevu, Lance!" she hissed his name.[I'm not healing you, Lance!]
"Whoa, she picked up his name really quickly," Pidge chimed after calming her laughter.
"But we can't get any information if we can't understand her," Shiro pointed out.
Keith had gotten to his feet during this and now walked over as Hunk inserted his observation.
"It looks like she understands us though, I mean she slapped Lance after he called her a 'hot alien chick'," he uses finger quotes on the last three words.
"Yeah, that really hurts..." whined Lance then the blue paladin looked over at Keith, "Hey, Keith, buddy, think you can convince your new girlfriend to give me one of those healing kisses?"
Keith and the girl growled at Lance furiously, looking like they wanted to tear him apart. They looked at each other, conversing with their eyes and Keith relaxed first.

"Be my guest, I already yell at him on a daily," Keith said, crossing his arms.
The girl nodded before looking back at Lance and verbally blowing up in her alien language, everyone was surprised at her last words.
"So if you're going to compliment a girl, at least be respectful even if she is an alien!" she shouted.
"Wait, you can speak English?!" Lance exclaimed.
"Of course I can, Manuke! Most of the universe speaks it!" the girl shouts at him then sighs with crossed arms, "I've barely known you five nickits and I already dislike you." She turns to Keith then bows, "And you, Keith, I am extremely sorry for striking you as I woke."
"It's alright, I'm guessing you were just having a nightmare," he says with a small smile.
She stood straight again, "Correct and what the manuke over there called, I believe, a kiss, that was simply to heal the pain I had inflicted upon you."
