My hands fly to my head when the throbbing of my head. What happened last night? I hear a noise on the ground and jump in the air. Where am I? I look around the strangers room I am in then to the floor where a guy is laying on his side, facing away from me. Telling by the brown hair, it is Steven. I feel something moving up my stomach and run to the bathroom, ignoring the pain. I make it just in time, throwing up in the toilet. Steven comes into the bathroom and immediately holds my hair as I puke my intestines up. Once I'm done, I sit on the ground and cover my mouth with some toilet paper then flush the toilet.
"Thanks." I say grabbing my head then look at him. He has a big bruise on the side of his face and dried blood on his right side forehead and lip. "What happened last night?"
"You don't remember?" He asks.
"No, what happened to your face?" I ask as he sits across from me.
"Well what do you remember?" He asks.
"We went to that guys party, I started drinking, saw Jacob, and then went outside. I don't know after that." He looks at me and puts his hand on his forehead.
"Well, I was looking for you then found Jacob outside and he started talking shit, me and Jacob started fighting. You came out after and he was screaming how he was better then me. Then we started to walk toward the car and you just fell after looking at Jacob." He says. "I think you were just too drunk to stay awake."
"Oh god. Are you okay?" I ask feeling bad.
"Ya, I'm fine." He remark with a side smile. "Just need a warm shower right now."
"I feel you there." I say and we laugh. This is a weird scene if someone would come in. Two teens sitting on he ground, one beaten up and the other with vomit on her breath. My phone goes off in my pocket and I take it out.
I'm calling you in ten minutes, you better answer. I don't even need to have the contact name to know who it is.
"Who's that?" I look up at his confused face. I smile like everything in my life isn't falling apart again.
"My mom. She's wondering where I am. I should get home." I say standing up slowly.
"Are you sure?" He asks and I nod.
"Ya. Thanks for not leaving me alone at the party last night" I say and he nods. I hug him then walk out of his room slowly. Being a couple houses down from him has never come more in handy. When I get home my mom is standing in the living room on the phone. I just quietly walk in and hope she doesn't see me but I wasn't quiet enough. She turns around as I start for my room.
"Where have you been?" She yells.
"You were sleeping when I got home last night and I didn't want to wake you up so stayed the night at Stevens after homecoming." I say and she looks at me.
"Are you serious with me right now? I'll have to call you back." She hangs up the phone and turns to me. "I have been worried sick all morning."
"Okay, well obviously not because my phone was on and you didn't call nor text me." I say looking at her but she wasn't looking at me. I turn around trying to see what she was looking at. I don't see anything but when I turn back around she is right in front of me.
"What is this?" She screams looking at my neck.
"What?" I ask grabbing my neck. I walk to the bathroom and look in the mirror as she follows.
"So, your going to play dumb." She says as I see the huge bruise/ hickey on my neck. When did this happen?
"Jacob." I whisper to myself but not quiet enough.
