Blossom's POV
We were only eating our lunches, like normal students, when I had the sense that someone's looking at us. I was about to look around to check, when a guy with red hair and glasses, wearing a lab coat, came in front of us. He looked smart, at least. He, and a girl I now recognized as Deedee, the girl that helped us find the history class, walked toward us.
The rest of my sisters seemed to notice them, too. While some of them, like Bubbles and Bell, seemed to be okay with them coming toward us, the rest of us, Robin, Buttercup, Bunny and I, feel a bit suspicious. It's been a crazy day, what would you expect?
"Hi guys. You wouldn't mind if we sit next to you, would you? We, um, our usual sits are taken, and there isn't much room for us in the other tables." Deedee said sheepishly.
I took a quick glance, and saw that she was right. Almost the entire cafeteria was full. What got my attention was that the tables were entirely full, and yet, there were two empty tables in our left side and right side.
Bubbles, not wanting to be rude, smiled and nodded. "Sure, sit down! There's enough room for everyone!"
Deedee smiled in relief and immediately sat down next to Bubbles. The guy, on the other hand, seemed pretty reluctant, but one look from Deedee and he sighed and sat right next to her. Deedee started talking to Bubbles nonstop about, well, everything, really. The redhead was oddly quiet, though he does seem to look at Deedee like he wanted to strangle her.
Looks like they know each other well. My sisters seemed to already guess that, but they were all looking at me like they were waiting for me to say something. Do I really have to ask everything around here?
"So, you two seem close." I said carefully, not wanting to offend them in any way. They both looked at each other for a moment, and while the guy scoffed and rolled his eyes, Deedee looked like she wanted to beat him up. Then he looked at us and smiled.
"Of course we're close! We have to share the same parents after all." She said cheerfully, though when she said that I could hear a bit of resentment in her voice. Looks like we have a sibling rivalry, or something like that, at least. We said nothing for a few seconds, and the feeling of being watched intensified.
I carefully looked around, trying to pinpoint the exact location of the person who was watching me, but the rest of the students in the cafeteria were too into the food to look at us. Bunny, who was sitting beside me, poked me lightly and whispered, "Is it just me, or are we being watched?"
"I feel it to. Probably someone who wanted to look at the new kids, like a guy in a zoo, trying to see if we're dangerous or not." I whispered back. She didn't seem to believe me, but I understood why. It didn't feel like the person looking at us was curious. It was a different vibe, like a shark testing if you're worth eating or not. I tried to continue eating, but I can't stop thinking about who was looking at us. Seriously, whoever they are needed to stop.
I shook my head, trying to ignore the eyes that I felt were looking at me. I listened to Deedee, who was rambling about the food of the cafeteria. The guy, her brother, looked like he was gonna die in boredom, so I decided to talk to him for a bit.
"So, what's you're name?" I asked nicely, looking at him as he ate his meat. He didn't answer at first, and I didn't know whether he was one of the few deaf vampires or if he wasn't answering me on purpose. A few tense seconds passed, before he actually looked at me. He seemed to be judging me, not like the intense glare I felt was directed at me, but a curious look, a look that says he wasn't used to being talked to. After a few more minutes, he answered, "My name is Dexter, pleasure to meet you, Miss...." He stopped, not knowing what my name was.
