I stood behind the register of my mother's beauty shop, bored out of my mind. Behind me was my 8 year old cousin Susan, daughter of my aunt Sarah. Susan didn't talk much like my aunt, or sing either. She was just a shy little girl with no talent much to my family's dismay.
My 12 year old cousin Merritt is the son of my other aunt Mary. He, unlike Susan, talked way to much. He was currently stocking the shelves.
The bell rang as my best friend Mal rushed in with her friends, key word: her friends. I only had one friend and that was Mal. "Hey Mal."
"You wouldn't believe what's happening."
"What?" I asked. I looked to see Merritt and Susan listening in. "Scram you little brats!" I hissed. You may think I'm being a bit mean, but honestly I don't care what you think. They quickly ran off in fear of my wrath if they disobeyed me.
"I'm going to Auradon." Mal blurted out, I covered my mouth in shock.
"No way, why?"
"The new soon to be king made it as a proclamation. Jay, Evie and Carlos are going too." I looked behind Mal to see Jay and Carlos wrestling and Evie looked through the products on the shelves. "So your leaving me?" I tried my best not to sound upset.
"Don't worry Will, when we get the wand and break the barrier around this bump, I'll be back to get you." Mal gave me one of her rare smiles.
"Promise?" I held up the green charm bracelet she stole for me. She held up the matching purple one.
"Promise." I gave her a quick hug, before hearing a honk outside. Mal and the others ran outside and got into the limo. I waved bye as Mal waved back. She'll keep her promise, I know she will.

I don't mean to be rude-- well that's not all true, but seriously how long does it take to steal a wand over there. Jay could probably do it with those sticky hands of his. Or Mal could just use magic. Whatever right? It's probably just taking them a while longer. I was walking around the isle when I heard a wolf whistle, I immediately turned to see Harry freaking Hook holding his fake hook.
"Hiya Willy." His scottish accent was annoying to me but I've learned to get use to it.
"Don't call me that Hook. What do you want?" I crossed my arms and stared at him. He got close to me and picked up a strain of my red locks. "Can't I just have a conversation with you."
I pushed his hook away and backed up.
"No since we're not actually friends." He let out a fake gasp. "Well now I'm heartbroken." He placed a hand over his chest. I rolled my eyes and tried to leave but someone else was behind me. Gil, son of Gaston.
"Hi Willow." He waved enthusiastically. Gil wasn't the bright color in the crayon box but all that lack of smarts he makes up with in a muscular way.
"Hi Gil." I said in a bored tone. He didn't really seem to notice it since he just keep smiling. "We're here to take you to see Uma."
"And why is that? What does Shrimpy want?" I asked either of them. I used the nickname that Mal marked on Uma when we were kids. I was once friends with Uma, but Mal made me choose between her or Uma. It was a tough choice, but at the end I chose Mal.
All Gil and Harry they did was drag me to Ursula's Fish N' Chip Shop. There I saw Uma sitting by a table waiting.
"Here she is." Harry got her attention. Uma stood up with a smirk.
"Hey Will, what's new?" Uma asked, she's never been nice to me since that day I chose Mal, which was weird.
"Why am I here?" I asked once more.
