Chris' P.O.V

I glanced at my watch. 2:00 in the afternoon. Daisy hadn't moved. At all. She hadn't eaten. I was worried she was beginning to sink into a depression. I wanted to know when the funeral was so she could mourn the loss of her mother and make an attempt to move on. For her own sake.

 "Dan?"

"Yeah?" Dan was busy making sandwiches.

"When Daisy's Aunt called, did she mention anything about a funeral?"

He was quiet for a minute, maybe trying to think.

"No, I don't think so. She said they were all busy trying to come to terms with it. She said as soon as possible they will contact us to arrange something."

"But the thing is, they'll try and contact Daisy, and she won't answer. She's not answering anyone. She's not eating." I sigh.

"Perhaps I should make her something and leave it beside her bed?" Dan suggested.

"I tried a couple of hours ago. I looked in there and it's just as I left it. Untouched."

 "Fuck."

"Anyway, how are you and Phil?" I wanted a change of subject while I tried to figure out what to do.

"We're great! Well, not great as in happy, as we're sad for Daisy. But we're great in the sense of 'the wedding is still on, and we still love each other' way. Y'know?"

 "I know."

PJ arrives from his room.

"So, what's happening with you and Katrina?" I ask quite abruptly.

 "I...er..."

"Don't tell me you still haven't decided!"

"I have. I just, don't feel it's the right time to say."

"When it concerns my friends, it's always a right time to say." I say.

"Okay. We've decided to go our seperate ways."

"WHAT?!" Dan, Phil and me all said in unison. We've done that a lot lately.

"We thought it would be for the best. She doesn't love me in that way, and I..."

 "You?"

 "I have other obligations."

"Do you actually want to get back together with this woman?" Phil asks from the corner.

 "I..."

 "Well?"

 "I think so."

"If it's a case of a child and a relationship, 'I think so', isn't an acceptable answer. You clearly still love Katrina, Peej."

"I...perhaps we should talk about this another time?" He nods in the direction of my door.

Daisy hasn't made a sound.

 "Maybe." I say.

I knock on the apartment of Daisy and Katrina's flat. Katrina answers moments later, looking a little bit windswept.

 "Hey Chris, how's Daisy?"

"That's actually what I came to talk to you about." I walked in, and turned to face her.

 "What is it?"

"She's kind of sunk into some sort of depression. She's not eating, not answering me, just sleeping. Sometimes she's not even sleeping, she just sits there. Or lies there."

 "I see."

"I don't know what to do. I can't bear it. I just want to make her happy but as far as I see it, there's little I can do." I sigh.
